This was my second instructor course with Steve and his team, and I was not disappointed!
The facilities are excellent with lunch (usually something like fresh pizza, chilli, burgers, soup - all home made and delicious!) and refreshments included.
The tuition was delivered in a clear and informative way, with great feedback.

I had a great trip on Oliver, The Tug with Captain Chrissy last weekend. I am hoping to live on a boat in the future & Chrissy gave me a real insight to what it might be like to live on the canal. I was able to drive the boat after a little tuition & pootle happily up the canal whilst chatting away with Chrissy about some of her adventures. A truly wonderful way to spend a few hours on a drizzly Saturday morning. Hot chocolate & veggie soup provided too.
Will definitely be returning for another trip in the spring & summer months.

The lady that carried out the walk was very knowledgeable and made it interesting and fun. There was a large group of us but she made sure everyone could hear and no-one got left behind.

A great way to spend a weekend morning. If you're new to Lincoln this tour is a must, Matt and Brant both have a very deep knowledge of Lincoln's history and their passion for it is contagious, so even if you know Lincoln well you are still sure to find lots of new insights. I lived in Lincoln for several years and couldn't believe how many hidden gems I had missed!
The walk covers Lincoln's history from as far back as the iron age, with some incredible stories, characters and buildings along the way. On the final tour of the 2022 season we had the undivided attention of guide of the 'lovely' Lesley'. She is so passionate and knowledgeable about The City. She embracing the history and modernity of the city in equal measures. It was peaceful and relaxing with an interesting historical commentary interspersed with up to date information from Monna the Operator. We were blessed with fabulous weather which is important as sailing is governed by it, so a big tip is to check the website on the morning to avoid disappointment.
Easy to find with website directions and a multi storey car park adjacent.
All the staff were friendly and showed us to the bench seating on the top deck. We both really enjoyed it, although a shame so many house boats looked in disrepair, but interesting to see how those living there make it home. I am so glad I did. He tailored a walking tour for us and we spent two hours on a super interesting tour of the town with him. He was an absolute mine of information and interesting history and stories, and showed us all sorts of quirky little things that we'd never have spotted without him. - Ohdear_8Lincoln, UK712 contributionsWe booked Dambuster for the day, we had 4 hours on the Fosseway canal on a lovely sunny September day. Took a picnic and enjoyed a different day out. Everyone in the office was friendly and had a great handover, with lots of detail on how to handle the controls. Also had a drive around the marina to make sure we knew what we were doing. This does eat into the hire time so only really had time to picnic at our first mooring at Saxilby then just about arrive at the first mooring at Torksey, so didn't actually make it as far as the lock! The boat had everything on board so would recommend trying it. We went as a couple but it does accommodate 6 but think that might be a few too many. We'd do it again though and perhaps organise our time better. Excellent selection very well kept and chosen by the landlady and her daughter!! Coach was clean driver excellent the loo on board was spotless only small niggle there was no hand towels to dry hands.
