We debated booking a high tea while there, but then found this option and decided that since we were with our daughters (ages 9 and 12) they would probably enjoy this hands-on experience more. Not sure what they would have thought of a high tea since we didn’t do it, but know they loved this experience! We all learned a lot - Ron was a fantastic instructor - and the scones and tea were delicious! I’ve been to several tea tasting sessions over the years and thought I knew a reasonable amount about tea, but I was in for a lesson! Angelo shared his passion for and knowledge of tea in such an engaging way - I was transfixed and the time flew! And I just loved the way he conducted the actual tea tasting. It was very different to any other experience I’ve had before. We were able to touch and smell the dry leaves and the wet leaves, as well as try the tea for six different types. He even gave us a takeaway cup of our favourite type on the way out. We loved everything about it -- from our walk there, meeting the others taking the class, learning so much about chocolate, getting to make our own bars, and buying some additional delicious treats. - Jackie R20 contributionsHad an absolutely amazing day doing Monishas’s bread class. There were only 5 of us and the other four knew each other and had already done a number of her other classes. Despite the fact that they were there as a group they totally included me and made me feel welcome as did Monisha. This was far and away the best class I have ever taken, Monisha is so knowledgeable not just about the food but about the history of it as well. She showed us some really good techniques and gave us many tips on other things not just bread as well. We well overran the time but she never rushed us at all. I took home 4 different types of bread and they were all really delicious. He was fantastic, personalised the experience for me and was really informative, passionate and dedicated to explaining all the details and magical works of chocolate from different parts of the World.
Also, the chocolates looked so wonderful as a gift!
I gained a better understanding of what chocolate is, the flavouring and which ones suited me.

As soon as we met them at the station, it felt like we were with friends. They guided us on a short bus ride and we walked through a beautiful Edwardian neighborhood to the home where we would be cooking. We were encouraged to make ourselves comfortable, and it was obvious they truly meant it. My wife and I believe one of the best ways to learn about an area and its history is to learn about its food, and Dan and Darren did not disappoint, while not going overboard and losing our young adult and teenage kids’ interest. We made delicious scotch eggs, a roast with potatoes, and sticky toffee pudding. Everything was fantastic, and we left positively stuffed! We could not have enjoyed this more!
