- Win TaskBedford, UK2,660 contributionsIt’s free then why not. Visited it on a beautiful sunny day. The gardens are magnificent. Plenty of people enjoying sitting on green space and meditating themselves. The downside was that the cafe was full packed. Plenty to see here specially glass house. Flower beds were at their peak. Making a rainbow on gardens ground. Love nature so i had an amazing time there. There’s no parking so careful or either you can park at Wetherspoon pay and display just few minutes walk from Garden. Worth a visit.Written November 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- MinnieM1928Cambridgeshire, UK470 contributionsGood shopping centre for Christmas Shopping. There is a good choice of stores, restaurants, coffee shops and a great food court where we had dinner. - Kevin ALeeds, UK194 contributionsThis was a specific visit to enjoy the Don Valley Engine experience. This one-to-one experience (details on their website) was conducted, on the day I went at least, by the head engineer Eddy.
I won't go into the detail of the engine, because if you're considering this experience you'll have done your homework already. Suffice to say the engine, which is of course the centrepiece of the whole museum, is awesome and no industrial history/ archaeology enthusiast could fail to be impressed by Eddy's knowledge and experience, and by the pleasure of having a chance to operate the engine in full steam. There is also the possibility of a behind-the-scenes look at parts of the museum you'd be otherwise unlikely to see.
Not cheap, but it's money helping to support the museum, and is great value.Written February 3, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Many pathways ..some of which are accessible on a mobility scooter.. tons of hidden little places and fantastic for dog walkers. Our Jack Russell loves water and it's safe in many places her to let her play. There is a children's play area, Toilet facilities..including disabled ones, picnic areas and a great cafe which is open 7 days a week all year round. In addition to this there is a brilliant splash, paddling pool area with water features which is completely free.Written August 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lisa MChester, UK70 contributionsOne of the most enjoyable and worthwhile things our tribe have ever done. The alpacas and jefe the llama are just adorable and we had plenty of time beforehand to get to know them. The trek was wonderful, a steady pace but not fast. The animals are so responsive to us. They really engage and love us talking to them. They are all different characters, and our guides were so informative and literally adored the chaps. If i lived nearer I would volunteer. If i had land I'd buy a trio for my family to adore. My daughters, sister, neice and I absolutely loved it and will be backWritten March 3, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Didn't have alcohol but a bottle of water was £2 so normal prices. Toilets very clean and lots of them. Saw a Streetcar Named Desire, excellent, though nearly 3h long (good job
the seats are comfortable ☺️).Written March 14, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - MashedSheffield, UK40 contributionsI've visited many times for solo, dog walking, dog training, friends and couples and it's always a nice experience.
Large fields ideal for dog walking and training of reactive dogs. Woodlands for peaceful relaxation. A lake for some lovely views and bird watching. (I see the parakeets have made it to Sheffield now)
There is also an animal park but I've not visited that since before the pandemic so it's difficult to comment on. It was lovely when I went before though and brought back fond memories of a similar place I went to as a kid :)
Parking is free in some places and charges in others so watch out for that. If you don't mind a little walk then parking roadside around the area is ample.Written December 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
