Myself and my three teenagers took this tour of Newcastle and highly recommend it. Rob is so knowledgeable on English and Newcastle history and the tour is so interesting. Not to be missed, a highlight of our stay!

All of the guided tours were sold out but we still had a great time exploring Black Gate and the castle keep on our own.
We greatly enjoyed the exhibit run by the Society of Antiquaries, a local historical society. The displays were excellent and did a great job showing the area throughout the ages (not just the medieval castle times).
    Staff was friendly and helpful.

This was a gift to me and my boyfriend for Christmas, as something a bit different to do, and it was different in such a great way! We had tons of fun on this treasure hunt, and despite having previously lived in Newcastle before, I learned a lot about the different areas! Some of the clues were a little tricky, but me and my boyfriend liked the challenge and the hints were helpful when needed. I would say that the timing was quite accurate for us - we did not take any stops along the way and it took around about a couple hours, great for getting the steps in! I would definitely recommend and we plan on doing more treasure hunts in other cities as well!

Wonderful half day tour with Amanda and full day tour with Fran! Visiting locations where Vera scenes were filmed after seeing video clips of the Vera episode were great! And we enjoyed all the local information that they both shared along the way! We would encourage all Vera fans to go on both tours! A big shoutout to the best coach driver, Jake, whose driving was safe and fantastic!

Alex makes the Hadrian's wall hike fun and informative. He's really knowledgeable and suits the hiking pace to match the participants. He was extremely patient answering all of the questions I had beforehand. You will be in good hands!

Our guide, Michael, was knowledgeable and very well prepared. He presented drawings and maps to help emphasize the wonderful history of all the stops we made during our walk. His local experience, having lived in the Newcastle area of England, was very colorful and passionate.

Had a very interesting and informative tour with Fran.
Initially the tour was delayed due to the terrible weather conditions but Fran’s great communication made everyone aware of this delay.
I had another event on at 1:30pm which Fran was kind enough to slightly alter the route the opposite way around to ensure I still made it on time.

The tour was very interesting with a lot of cool stories about local residents and famous Geordies over the years.
Definitely recommend to anyone visiting for the day!
    Thanks Fran :)

My wife and I travelled to Iceland for a short break on Jet2 from Newcastle. The entire experience was very pleasurable from check in to boarding and on the flight. The staff were positively pleasant and seemed to enjoy their work...a change from most other airlines! The plane was new and seating very spacious. This is the way air travel should be! I strongly recommend scheduled carries to sample the Jet 2 service/ product to learn how to improve their offerings.Very Well Done Jet 2.

Very enjoyable tour. Learnt how the Romans, Tudors and Georgians all impacted Newcastle. Some football facts as well as interesting information about the music scene. Definitely recommended.

My partner and I really enjoyed being tourists in our own city. Josh, our guide, was incredibly punny which I LOVE so, thank you Josh! He was very knowledgeable and super enthusiastic. We did the tour on Friday and by writing this 2 days later I can confidently say I have told everyone I know about this tour and how good it is. Being local I did know some of the stories but it was so great hearing someone else talk about them! Time absolutely flew over and I was smiling the whole time. What I will say about the tour is that, wear comfortable shoes and if your knees aren't great take your time going down on the stairs towards the end - there's a LOT of them.

What a brilliant tour, Cory was hugely informative and a great story teller. I was entertained and learnt so much about Medieval Newcastle… and a lot more besides! Excellent value for money with entrance to the castle included - knockout views from the roof!
