I love visiting St Fagans. It has so much going for it - a beautiful wooded site filled with Spring flowers at this time of year, fascinating historic buildings, plenty of seating, toilets, parking ….. and miserable staff who seem incapable of interacting with the public. On today’s visit only 2 out of the 10+ staff we came across acknowledged our presence and greeted us.

In one cottage, I think it was Llainfadyn, the young girl stood in front of the fireplace looking at her mobile phone, not looking up once to talk to two very well behaved and interested children who were in there with their parents. Non-existent customer facing skills. Staff at Skansen open air museum in Sweden and the Hungarian one in Szentendre wear traditional costumes and talk enthusiastically about their surroundings, engaging with the visitors in activities and crafts. The attitude of the staff at St Fagans really detracts from the whole experience for me and, as a proud Welsh woman who wants to show off her heritage to visitors, makes me sad to think that many people will go away from this fabulous museum with the impression that Welsh people are rude and unwelcoming. Please make an effort, people! You might even start looking forward to going to work.

My favourite places from today’s visit were St Teilo’s church which is full of stunning craftsmanship in the carpentry and wall paintings, Llys Llewelyn with its colourful appliquéd hangings and the well-maintained gardens surrounding the castle. St Fagans is a wonderful, magical place. If it were filled with staff who engaged with the public it would be even better.

Cardiff Castle is an interesting place to visit, in the heart of the city. If you don't go on a tour, make sure you read the leaflet carefully as it's easy to miss parts of it. The keep is worth the climb to the top, but only if you can manage steep, spiral stone steps. The rooms in the house have some amazing features, particularly ceilings.

Yes not much here, but there is a great view. Could be great as a base, in warmer times. Can take the Boat to Cardiff centre. For unique Welsh gifts, you must visit Craft in the Bay. Made the trip worthwhile, picked up some local silver jewellery and porcelain.

I can’t thank the staff and most particularly Kim for the way they looked after me during the Welch/France match
Suffered a very bad vertigo attack and Kim was amazing the way she looked after me. She went way beyond the call of duty in ensuring I was ok and getting me new seats
I can’t thank her enough she made myself and my husbands first experience of a rugby match a most extraordinary experience one we will never forget
I hope her managers take note of what an extraordinary employee they have in her
    Thank you Kim

I visited here with a friend. We had lunch here before looking around some of the museum. The only slight complaint that I have is that the meal could have been a lot warmer. Very nice museum.

In the last week I have watched "Just my Imagination" and "An Officer and a Gentleman musical" Both shows were superb. I prefer this venue to others in the city, because, from where I live, it's on a bus route or 10 minutes walking distance. The building itself is attractive and welcoming and I always find the staff helpful and attentive. Lots of leg room between rows, which I find more comfortable,. I have booked a further 2 shows for next month and really looking forward to them!

Large park right next to the main city attractions.

One can simply take a short stroll, while we decided to make it a 10km run out and back. It was a great way to get out and see the natural beauty, just outside our hotel.

A definite must do if visiting Cardiff.

This a a beautiful little castle not far from Cardiff. With the audioguide, it is definitely worth the price. The audioguide is well done. The castle is very beauitful. If arriving by train then walking, google will direct you the long way round, but there is a trail through the woods that cuts the walk down by 10+ minutes.

Lovely park, with a variety of birds, very clean with a nice little cafe.. Plenty to see and do for the kiddies with a play area for them.

An easy trip from Cardiff by public transport, this is a good half-day trip. There is a good little museum and a cafe that serves good food. The tour was good, if more appropriate for children than adults (my group only had adults so it wasn't like I was on a children's tour.) You don't actually go into the mine, though the guide pretends you do, but into an excellent recreation. The air doesn't feel like underground if you've been into a real mine but in all other respects it is amazingly well done. The guide was entertaining and kept everyone engaged and had time for questions.

We attended a candlelight string quartet concert within the Cathedral & it was such a beautiful evening in a beautiful setting, played beautifully by the players..
