The walls themselves are very cool! Derry is the last fully walled city in Ireland and they are in great condition.

The walls also provide amazing views of the city. You can see the Guildhall, the Free Derry Corner, and also down the main street to the square.

We went here after doing a bogside history tour which is also a must do if in the area and are keen to learn more of the history surrounding the troubles.
Friendly staff and well laid out museum with lots of interesting artefacts. Highly recommend visiting.

The building from the outside alone is well worth the visit if in Derry! Architecture is impressive and can be best viewed from on top of the city walls.

Entry inside the building is free which is great. They have very interesting displays inside about the plantations in Ulster. Staff are also friendly.

Excellent exhibit design. It was really engaging, and gave a good sense of the history of the social & religious conflicts here.

We spent the most educational and entertaining couple of hours touring the City Cemetery with Seamus Breslin.
Seamus provides a fantastic overview of the city’s incredible history over the last 200 years and the people who shaped that history.
It is easy to see why this tour is #1 in the things to do in Derry.

We walked across the bridge to take in the views from it which was okay. Style-wise, it’s a nice looking bridge. Still just a bridge at the end of the day though…

There is a wealth of information for not just Derry - Londonderry but the surrounding areas of the Northwest of Northern Ireland.

Loved the city, full of interesting history old and recent. The museums and walking tours were fabulous. People incredibly friendly everywhere. Guild hall, Bogside and Tower museums were incredible. We were there for 3 days and not enough time to see everything.

This monument is definitely worth a visit and has a lot of history. Describes the events of Bloody Sunday, the lives lost, and the cause in which those people fought for.

The wall adds to the uncomfortable, eery feeling you get visiting the area. The wall carries great symbolism for the island of Ireland and is definitely worth a visit to learn more about the islands history.

St Columb’s Cathedral is in Derry, Northern Ireland. It is a very majestic cathedral that has served a city torn apart by politics. The cathedral is very close to the walled fortification of Derry and you will pass it if you are walking around the wall.
    Well worth a visit.
