Rabbis and Kim were excellent. Kim had great stories, answered all questions. She showed us places we would never have done by ourselves. Kim took us other places we would’ve overlooked. Thank you Rabbis and Kim

Amazing experience! Having only a short time in Scotland, we chose to take a tour that would allow us to see as much as possible and it did not disappoint. We got to see more in three days than most could in double the time. While the views were breathtaking and the history told by the tour guide was fascinating, the absolute highlight of the tour was our guide Stevie (or “wee” Stevie to his friends). He kept us laughing the entire trip. He went above and beyond to accommodate us all. Coming from Boston and having to catch a plane the same night the tour was ending, he dropped us near the airport so we wouldn’t miss our flight (which we otherwise would have). I can’t say enough good things about him. Missing him already! Do yourself a favor if you’re considering this tour and just book it.

Very chill and relaxing experience it was. You can guaranteed that hairy coo will surely deliver an excellent service. Pete is absolutely amazing, lots of stories to tell just to keep us entertain and make the entire trip filled with history sharing. Would highly recommend their company to everyone if you are looking for a day trip. We are in a mini van, so a group of small people is much better than going on a big bus with loads of people. And the van itself is very clean with cozy seats.

    Many thanks Hairy Coo xxx

Martin was a wonderful guide with a wealth of knowledge. He made suggestions and altered the plans slightly to give us a full some tour. Very entertaining fellow and he also looked into our Scottish roots based on the booking name. We were surprised and pleased he went out of his way to connect us with more information. Mercedes V series. Ample room for 4 of us with the rear seat empty. Highly recommend.

This trip was the highlight of our entire Scotland vacation! I highly recommend this private tour to anyone looking for a unique and personalized way to explore the area. Me and my wife wanted to get the local perspective on the Scottish country side and not to just see get from one tourist stop to another. Jimmy was our guide for the day he really delivered that and made our experience incredibly enjoyable and stress-free. Even before we met, he was extremely proactive and punctual, calling and texting us with all the pickup details and any tickets we should have booked and ready the day of the trip. He was on time in the morning and did a great job throughout the day with managing our schedule for each stop and accounting for traffic and dropping us off an picking us up at every stop with details on how to avoid any crowds or lines. We felt safe and relaxed at all time with Jimmy driving. As we approached the twisty roads of the Highlands, we also realized how important it is to have an expert driver who knows these roads like the back of his hand. Jimmy knew where to slow down and let the speeding bikes and buses through, and an no point did get aggravated, frustrated or distracted, which made us feel super safe. He was extremely courteous and attentive to our interests and flexible to shifting the schedule and agenda to our desires. We ended up leaving some stops early and instead have a sit down lunch. Jimmy catered to our personal lunch preference and provided a great restaurant recommendation that we thoroughly enjoyed ! That personal touch was invaluable to us and felt so different from any larger group or megabus tours that we took in the past. The private setting also allowed for deeper conversations and a more immersive experience. Jimmy was not only informative but also warm and engaging, making the entire day feel like an adventure with a friend. He also managed to do all this while remaining very professional and proper, letting us nap on the way back and not pryiny, bringing up any controversial topics and minimizing chatter by end of the day,  when everyone was already tired.  Book this trip if you want to maximize what you see in one day and to have a personable and honest guide who cares about making your day special. We would love to come back and take our kids along for a tour with Jimmy next time ! It was an unforgettable experience that we will cherish for years to come!

The tour through Rabbie’s was excellent. Wee George our guide was very knowledgeable and enjoyable. He made sure we had plenty of time at each stop and gave recommendations on things to see and places to eat. If I’m back in Scotland again I would go on another Rabbie’s tour

My girlfriend and I embarked on a day tour through Scotland, and it was an unforgettable experience! Our guide, Ricky, was fantastic—punctual, professional, and absolutely personable. He made us feel at ease right from the start and truly showcased his passion for Scotland. Ricky’s extensive knowledge brought the history and culture to life, and he was incredibly flexible, tailoring the itinerary to suit our interests. From the stunning landscapes to hidden gems, every moment was a delight. As first-time visitors to Scotland, we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to this beautiful country. The day was filled with breathtaking sights and engaging stories, and I can't recommend this tour enough. If you're looking to explore Scotland with a knowledgeable and amiable guide, Uncover Scotland Tours is the way to go! Thank you, Ricky, for making our day so special!

This trip is beautifully planned and any unplanned diversions are done by the guide purely for the betterment of the trip and the experience of the guests! We had a wonderful time in Scotland with our tour guide+driver+story teller ‘Rose’. She’s one of very few (i think one of 18) official Scotish Storytellers! And she took us on this great journey through the stories of Scotland. The lady has complete knowledge from local lore to JK Rowling’s Harry potter references, Outlander & James Bond locations to Game of Thrones cross references! She took us to all the places listed on the itinerary with a consistent background information & specific stories connected to the locations; including a smooth bus ride experience. She even had quick costumes and props for the guests to use and get photographed in; including harry potter robes, wands (for the train ride)and outlander Scottish scarfs! I was impressed when she had tree cards (similar to Tarot cards) and she interpreted them for us for fun! The best was that she comes with knowledge of Whiskey! And maybe other drinks as well. And can help in choosing the right one!

We were 14 guests from all over the world in a mini bus (16 seater) which was very comfortable as the two of us got the last 4 seats and could just spread out at the end very comfortably :)

They had booked rooms across 2 B&Bs (Glenconan B&B and Cuil lodge) and Uig hotel in Uig, near Portree. It was a picturesque place and we enjoyed short walks to the restaurants around. Restaurants are scarce and needs prior reservations as they can get full. We even had group dinner at a place suggested by Rose. The guides send an advance email with suggested restaurants but if you don’t have any reservations Rose is there to rescue everyone! We stayed at the Glenconon B&B which was beautiful along side a small forrest. Although we were envious of our fellow travellers who stayed at the Cuil lodge which had astounding views of the water. Uig location was perfect as it was close to the Fairy Glen! We covered many more locations as per the itinerary.

The Jacobite train ride is the return journey from Mallaig to Fort William and if you reach just early you can see them changing the steam engine from the front to the rear side of the train. Eventually the train moves out from the other end but it’s great fun to see it blowing up steam and smoke just by itself! Arrive early as you can take pictures with the steam engine before it moves to the other end; as then it’s out of the platform and difficult to click pictures along with Muggles!

Suggestion: I wish they can include stopping (like a 30 min photo stop) near Glenfinnan viaduct for the onward morning journey, so that we can see the train pass the viaduct. This is the only missing piece I thought can give a beautiful start to the exciting experience ahead. But I do understand if it’s a geographical problem to go this way.

Bottom line is that we were very happy with our trip and our guide truly made our journey memorable! I wish we had more days but that just keeps us wanting to come back. Thank you Rose!

Glenturret distillery was an interesting combination of tradition and sophistication and it has cats. Brilliant. Our tour there was perfect, giving us a taste of what makes a fine whisky. Dunkeld was charming and I wish I could have stayed longer. Maybe move there and open a bakery. But still, you will have time to fuel up with some top notch pastry and cheese if you so desire. The other stops were delightful as well and, of course, the tour was great thanks to our guide, Ryan, who gave us a Scottish history crash course, music recommendations and made sure we don't get lost in the woods :)
