The tour was great! the nice Maxime picked us up in the morning right across from the port. She gave us a lot of information during the tour and we had enough time to look around. Punctually one hour before the ship departed we were back again. Everything worked out great. We are very satisfied and can recommend Thistle Excoursuíons.

I had an amazing time on this day trip from Inverness that took us to Culloden, Clava Cairns, Beauly, and a distillery. Harrison, our guide, was a total star—really knowledgeable and fun. The sites were incredible, especially seeing the historic battlefield at Culloden and the ancient stones at Clava Cairns. Beauly was charming, and the distillery visit was a treat. The whole day was just perfectly paced and Harrison really made it special. Highly recommend if you’re looking to dive deep into some Scottish history with a great guide.

I first want to thank Iqbal/Mike for accommodating us at the last minute. we were a family of five adults traveling on a cruise. After experiencing the hecticness of a ship arranged excursion, we knew how we DIDN'T want to experience the beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Iqbal met us on time and after getting into a beautiful van, we set off on a spectacular day. His knowledge of history brought it to life for us. Thank you so much for being such and amazing ambassador for your country and sharing it with us!

We loved this tour!!! Beautiful all-day tour through the beautiful Scottish Highlands. We loved that our guide was local and knew the area well. The tour was super flexible and they catered to our family's needs. Would absolutely book again.

This it the perfect full day tour from Inverness! Our guide "IQBAL" was excellent. We did this as a private group tour for the four of us. He was very flexible to our needs. For example, we are not Scotch drinkers so he suggested a Gin tasting instead. We wanted to see some Harry Coos and he took us to see some. The list of sites on this tour perfectly met our wish list of things to see. We would not have been able to do half as much if we tried to do this on our own. Would highly recommend this tour and tourguide.

No one can come to Inverness without the requisite trip to Culloden. It is not only a battlefield but a burial ground. It was nice to visit Glen Affric and to shake off the somberness of the Culloden visit

Took the tour in a 6-seater minibus which made the experiences much more personal for all of us. Rhona, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the area, its history and culture. She made frequent stops at photo opportunities and points of interested beyond just the highlights of the tour. One example was a lunch stop at a local village bakery where we purchased a very tasty lunch made to order on fresh baked rolls! The whisky tour was very impressive even though I myself am not a whiskey drinker. The castle and grounds are very impressive and the falconry display was well worth seeing. The weather made the trip to the gorge questionable, so the group decided to opt for a longer shopping period instead. All in all, an excellent experience. We would love to return to this area again for an extended visit someday.

This is an amazing site to visit. It must have taken the people who built them a long time because some of the stones are very large. This is a must for all ages. Easy walking.

We were lucky to have such amazing weather and an amazing guide. Harrison showed us the high spots around the Isle of Skye and the hidden gems all over the Highlands. We had a great time!

Ken was the most amazing guide who took us to Loch Ness, Culloden, and Cawdor. He gave us constant commentary while driving and you could certainly tell he was a total Outlander fan!! The tour was so rich in history as well. Despite a dreary start, by day's end the sun was shining and we were smiling in the all the beauty we experienced with Ken's expertise.

Our GO HIGHLANDS tour was PERFECT! George was an amazing tour guide—10 out of 10 in every way! He shared the history of Scotland with wonderful stories as we drove from one fascinating and beautiful place to another.

We visited Clava Cairns, Colloden, Urquhart Castle, Great Glen Distillery, stopped for lunch and shopped for souvenirs. George was attentive and adjusted our time/stops accordingly.

We have traveled all over the world, and George at GO HIGHLANDS was the best tour guide ever. Would book again in a heartbeat!

    P. S. Yes, he wore a kilt and accoutrements!

We had an amazing experience with "Mo" and her driver for this Excursion. The Thistle team was waiting right outside the private excursion exit when we disembarked from the ship. Mo was very knowledgeable about the history and clear on all her times and when to be back on the bus. She really made the trip! Super conscious to share details about each stop! Highly recommend this tour company!

Fun filled tour, from the amazing tour guide Fiona to the many attractions visited. Started at Invergordon and first stop was at Urquhart Castle. Then a boat trip on Loch Ness to the Caledonian Canal. The bus met us there and we were thrilled when we got close up to the Highland cows. Then onto Cawdor Castle to walk through the castle and gardens. And then to Culloden with all its history. A great day out and would highly recommend.

We just returned from a really good 5 day tour of Scotland with Highland Explorer/Radical travel. I have to be honest I struggled with booking this tour as we always do our own thing. We are on a 27 day trip and this is the only part of the trip we booked an extended tour. I had to take into account for the hotels, the entry into the sites, the knowledge from the guides, not having to plan the details, breakfast and not having a rental car to justify it to myself. I feel like it was worth it. Sit back and let someone else take care of the details and the driving. The team, Louise, Heidi, Noah, also kept the trip light and fun. In an unfamiliar town, ask the guide for suggestions on where to eat and go see live music. Want to meet new people, bus of 25 people from many countries to hang out with. We had a good time and got to relax. If you are a Facebook person you might also visit Scotland Travel Tips group for more information on Scotland.

Really fun tour that didn’t take all day. We took a bus tour that took us to a boat tour then to the castle. The bus tour resumed after the castle tour. It was really comfortable and interesting
