Loved this little shop and it’s double near the Catherdral in Dublin, full of wonderful prints and some small crafts all made in Ireland.
After walking past so many trashy, cheap, mass produced tourist gift option shops I was delighted to find this art and gift store, full of well designed and made items that I am pleased to be able to take home.

Sweny’s is a quaint apothecary shop, featured in Joyce’s ‘Ulysses’ and now run by volunteers keen to keep Joyce’s works alive.
PJ who runs the shop was extremely engaging and very interesting and made us feel very welcome and played his guitar and read some Ulysses to us.

Tucked into a Victorian shopping center in the Grafton St. area, the shop has lots of space and light for really enjoying the fine colors and wools.

Such a delightful place, from the inviting, pretty storefront that draws you in, to the several floors inside the shop, lined with bookshelves and filled with interesting and tempting displays.
Apparently it stocks an incredible 75.000 titles, so the excellent bookseller told me , and offers a vast array of kids books, the Children’s department is the size of bookstore in itself.

Mom and I enjoyed our shopping and really appreciated that we could just have it all shipped.
Free shipping on good purchased for more than €100 is a great idea if you are worried that your suitcase is too small.

The Dublin store and the South Anne Street shop in the city center were soon opened as well now have shops and markets in numerous cities across Ireland.
It is tucked away in a small side street off Grafton street so while it is hidden it is right there just off the center of all the shopping action.

The shop is elegantly done with a really nice feel and if you are into the smaller details like me, you will love their dainty ring boxes and tasteful gift bags and stationary.
His knowledge, professionalism, and friendly charming nature mean if I ever have the privilege of buying another piece of unique jewellery I will definitely be returning to him!
