This is one of the fanciest department stores I've ever been to with tons of brands and vendors to satisfy almost any person who loves to shop.

This place is a madhouse. Of course I'm the dope who decided to visit during a packed Sunday afternoon.

I'm no clothes horse but I had to see the stunning dome. I didn't realize you could catch the view from the terrace until I saw people standing on line so naturally, I went with the crowd and the view didn't disappoint.

Paris loves its views and almost any iconic building touts its ability to provide one for tourists and locals alike.

I didn't stay long, on the terrace or at the store, since the crowds were nearly unbearable, but this place is worth a visit. Just come on a weekday morning.

If you're into Dali or art in general this is a good way to spend an hour or two. It's not a huge museum but it's well stocked in terms of the art itself and the information it provides on Dali. Also it's central location lends itself to being part of a day in the area. Worth a visit!

We have been coming to Paris for years and we always spend as much time as we can here. Such a fabulous department store and the oldest in the world. Fortunately it was raining on our last visit to Paris which meant it was the perfect excuse to spend a lot of time here. It is particularly fabulous at Christmas time. We live every section. The clothes, the shoes, the kitchen and appliances, the book section, the food section and everything in between. Full of beautiful and interesting areas. The staff are so attentive. Spend ages in each section and explore. Highly recommended.

Open on Thursdays and Sundays, this is a very popular open air market for locals and tourists alike, there is well over 100 stals, offering everything from fruit and veges, to cheeses, meats and specialty items, there is even, a clothing section and kitchen/homewares. This is one of three open air markets we love, the other two is Marche joinville, (for very very cheap fruit and veges) and Marche Saint Eustache, (for good wholesome African food).

This is a very old market street, basically from the middle ages. In its modern configuration you can find shops that sell just about any food product. Lots of inexpensive fast food as well. Nice stroll.

We took a walk here to see the neighborhood and perhaps pick up some fruit. This is a very extensive market with luscious fruits and vegetables - a ton! Shops along the market offered meats, cheeses etc, and there was a flea market in the square. All in all a nice experience and we picked up some amazing apricots and strawberries.

One of the prettiest streets in Paris, this rue has no cars and lined with all different shops. We walked through on a Sunday and nearly every shop was open and packed. You can shop for trinkets, pick up sweets or baked goods or just grab a bite. It is also conveniently located near the Champ du Mars.

Its a proper flea market - definitely worth a visit. I would say 3-400 stalls with a variety of goods as always, it was the last weekend in August so I wondered if there would be a lot of stallholders there. Some decent bargains to be had, especially in glass and paintings and junky jewellery. As others have said it starts to close up around 12. You can get a coffee or lunch at the metro station and its on the RER so easy to get around. We will come back next time we are in Paris for sure.

It was our first market in Paris. It was a great experience. It is a good size market (not too big) with all needed fresh products.
We bought beef entrecote, salmon pave, vegetables, fruits, duck breasts. It was delicious. Price was OK too for fresh products.
    We also had lunch there.

Lovely street full of super food shops: cheese/pasta/fish/butcher also a number of cafes. A cute toy shop. Ends at denfert rochereau place, where u can visit the catacombes.
Not a market, as might be inferred from other reviews but certainly super for food if you are staying nearby self -catering.

As known by the locals, "The village square" is a lovely market, a little on the pricey side for our tastes, however the eateries here are very popular especially on weekends.

One of the many covered passage in old Paris, this one is outstanding because of the decorations and the architecture. It is truly beautiful. Come and take in the beauty. It's only a block long. But don't plan on much shopping as there are only a few stores here.

Highlighted on our bus trip due to the great rooftop terrace affording good views over the city, however we never got a chance to stop...next time.

This is a street market, but not really a tourist attraction. It is mainly for the locals. We happened to come across it by chance and walked around for a few minutes. You can buy fruit and vegetables, clothes and many other items if you really want to.

if you are in the St. Germain des Prés area, try and stop at this market. On the high end of the spectrum, if has stands offering high quality cheese, meat, seafood, veggies, assorted patisseries etc. (there is an Iranian pastry shop which is nice). In one corner is a Thai/Chinese snck bar offering good dumplings....
