    Our group enjoyed a long walk through this residential neighborhood, which is one of my favorite parts of Paris. We stopped for drinks at the end of our walk. Pleasant apartment blocks and individual houses. A small shopping and eating area. Some interesting street art.

    A huge traffic circle and crossroads, where the 5th and the 13th come together. A fountain, some landscaping, a large Metro station underground, lots of big cafes arround. One of Paris's few skyscraper neighborhoods is adjacent. A mix of the very old and the very new.

    Rue de l'Abreuvoir is one of the most picturesque streets in Paris, located in the Montmartre district.

    The street leads up to the iconic Maison Rose, a popular spot for photos

    Perfect for a peaceful stroll and capturing classic Parisian moments.

    Located in the 1st arr, is this lovely covered passage way, (which is one of many within Paris), so nice to cruise along browsing the windows,

    This was packed to the rafters on a freezing Wednesday night in January. We enjoyed our plates of cheese (partner) and charcuterie (me) and a carafe of red wine - just what we needed after a long journey. Good value, as evidenced by the students crowded round every table. Great optimistic atmosphere - it was just a teensy bit overwhelming and loud for us oldsters, but we still enjoyed it. Probably better for a younger age group though. /Friendly and professional service.

    PROS
    * Famous location pause of the Louvre and next to the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel
    * Central meeting point

    CONS
    * Crowded
    * Plenty of traffic through the streets under the arches of the Louvre and through the traffic circle
    *. Plenty of cruising taxis

    “ I VISITED THIS PLACE”…
    … twice, once at night after finishing the Musée d’Orsay and once during the day after being at the Louvre.

    There was a lot of traffic and taxis in the traffic and a lot of people too, and everyone crossing it all at different points.

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
    It was free

    WOULD “I VISIT THIS PLACE” AGAIN
    If and when I’m in the area

    AIDVICE
    * If you go to see the pyramid and the plaza and the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, you will be here and you will see it
    * Watch out for cars and taxis and traffic

    This is not a part of Luxembourg gardens as others say, but an esplanade dividing them from it's extension of the Explorer's gardens south.
    You'll pass this esplanade if visiting both, and apart from several statues and kids playground there's nothing to do here.

    We walked all the way along the Rue du Renard (Paris) from Hotel de Ville to Centre Pompidou. It was such a nice walk.

    This sort of wall look right only in America. Every street in every other city try to look cool with street and wall like this without success. Same with this wall. Awful.
