Good welcome and the lockers were useful so we could enjoy the exhibits unencumbered. Good range of artworks and the temporary sporting exhibition was very good. We came for the impressionists and were not disappointed. - exotissima1London744 contributionsNot busy when we went midweek. Only a few rooms of paintings. The only top class painting exhibited was a Monet. Really mainly enjoyed the delightful small garden planted mostly with evergreens and grasses.
Cafe overlooking the garden offered a €25 formule (set lunch). Dish of the day was "tomato and vegetables". There was also a decent large pasta and great coffee. "I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
... on a Saturday night because it was the only museum open until 2100h and I was staying in Le Marais, a five minute walk from the museum, and I had the Paris Museum Pass. Without all three of those things, I would not have gone to this place that I sing a ditty of "pumpi doo pa dumpy dumpy doo."
As a matter of fact, see my previous review posted 15 January 2020, where I wrote <<"I didn’t like the museum. I didn’t understand it. It was confusing. The stuff exhibited seemed to be placed together in a random and haphazard fashion. Yes- as is said: “you either like modern art or you don’t.” Well I don’t. Nonetheless, I of course took photos of some of the displays and I will post them for you to assess for yourself.
Maybe the best part of my visit was going up and down the outside escalator- a primary goal of my visit in the first place (see my numerous photos). I always referred to the architecture of this place (which has been familiar to me since its creation) as an “inside out building.”>>
This time was clearly different for me- I liked the museum this time- I had easy immediate access and enjoyed seeing the artworks, and actually appreciated it more. I was especially impressed and thrilled about the Marc Chagall paintings (see my numerous photos).
... and of course I enjoyed the external escalator and visited every balcony on the way down.
WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
Only with the Paris Museum Pass

Some of the treasures more than 4000 years old. Throughout this amazing museum what I noticed was a strong beliefs of the devil and Christianity which was clearly depicted in their art. A quick note, it’s free on a Sunday. They have their own cafe which leads out onto this majestic courtyard of yesteryears. At the end of the museum, as always was a gift shop quite pricy. They had really brought the art to life, with the water shimmering and the stars twinkling! Great location in an old steel foundry. Clean restrooms. - Heptameron F35 contributionsBeautiful works of sculptural art await you in this delightful (and free) museum. Plan on spending at least one to two hours exploring Antoine Bourdelle's works. The Rhodia Cafe, located on the premises, offers healthy menu options and friendly and efficient service. We visited the museum on a Friday. Exceptionally simple to navigate in the collection -- very well-designed for moving about in the space, which is well-lit and roomy. If you're interest in modern painters like Delaunay, Matisse, Picasso, Utrillo, Braque and Dufy, excellent place to visit. Appreciated the curatorial emphasis upon superb female artists. - Michael FPhiladelphia, PA856 contributionsA great way to see a ton of Dali's sculptures in depth. They have more than just his sculptures of course, but they seem to be the central theme. While they did not offer an audio tour, all the pieces have descriptions by them for you to read. Certainly a must do for Dali lovers, however, I am not sure its a must do for anyone else.
You'll probably spent about 30-45 minutes with ease. Connected to the museum is a small gallery where you can purchase his work or work by other artists inspired by Dali. However, I was disappointed with the audio-guide - it didn't work on many paintings. It was 5€ extra (besides the not-so-friendly cost of the museum itself), and at the end of the visit I complained to the manager that it didn't work very well and they didn't care much... not a possibility of refund was mentioned. They said they didn't know about this.
