- Claire S10 contributionsWe spent a happy afternoon at the immersive theatre escape game. Actors set the scene and enable you to solve puzzles to resolve the "problem". The "cast" were great and the puzzles were intriguing without being impossible. I cannot recommend this too highly. The game can be done in English or French: it's great funWritten July 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Todd M1 contributionAfter 65 years of watching films all over the world, I finally found the most perfect cinema, the Max Linder Panorama in Paris. Named after an inspired silent cinema figure of the 1920s, this theater gets everything right: The screen is enormous, the plush seats larger than the norm and set on a raked floor allowing for unencumbered sight lines, terrific sound, and it's the right size, just big enough to provide a sense of occasion. I wish I could see all movies here. Any buff should check this out if and when in Paris.

We originally accessed the globe by way of the theatre, not knowing it was open at the back had we of walked around the theatre. Didn’t really matter as the security staff at the theatre were very approachable and friendly.
We visited when it was cloudy so probably missed out how stunning it could have been had the sun been out to provide more reflections. Even without the sun it was a memorable visit which I would consider doing again.
Entrance is free even if you go through the theatre. If you exit from the rear and turn left you’ll come across the Argonaute, a French submarine which is open to visitors all days except Mondays and national holidays. We were there on a bank holiday monday so didn't get to see inside :-(Written September 8, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But I arrived with my bottle of water, my bag of rice, and I spent a great evening. I went back, quite a few times, bringing along friends who all enjoyed the show as much as me.
A few months ago, I had the chance to see the Time Slips for the first time, and it was a nice change, as their jokes were sometimes different from the cast I had seen so far.
The humor is way below the belt, don't go onto front rows if you don't want to participate in the actions, but basically, this is a great moment. I recommend you have watched the film beforehand, as it is very tricky to watch it during the show, and that you understand French, as most of the jokes are in French, and it can be difficult to understand otherwise.
But honestly, go for it, it is great.Written September 14, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. 90-minute guided tours in french are available on Saturdays and Sundays at 4:30 pm.
Booking for the exhibition and/or tour is available online and a number of options (entry+tour, entry+movie) and discounts (jobless, student etc) are available
The tour started on time, after we got an earpiece from the front desk (in exchange for an ID). All the details are explained in an email received the day before the visit.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared many additional details on Romy Schneider’s life and relationships with directors and other actors from that time. While it’s fine to tour the exhibition alone, the guided tour really added to the experience with additional context and details from the era which would not have been available from the description of each item. In addition, a detailed exhibition booklet is available from the front desk with a complete description of all the events (film showings, conferences) supporting the Romy Schneider exhibition.
Overall, the cinémathèque did a great job putting together this Romy Schneider special and the guided tour is a must.
My only regret is that the space on the 5th floor (where the exhibition is displayed) tends to get very cramped as visitors move very slowly (there are many screens showing extracts from movies which last several minutes). As our group was fairly large, it was at times difficult to get around and follow the tourWritten March 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Friendly staff, climate bar, and the atmosphere of the old-style cinema makes the visit really unique. We recommend to see a French movie with English subtitles - great ocassion to feel French for a while as a foreigner ;)Written May 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alison SSydney, Australia2,468 contributionsFriday afternoon was made so much more special by attending a movie screening in one of the special cinema spaces in this Art Deco Egyptian styled building.
Post screening one is able to attend the Roof Top Balcony beside the Bar.
Food is served, if desired, to accompany the drinks.
We settled for Rose and Jambon with roquet and mini gerkins salad.
It was delightful - full of atmospphere - taking one far away from the bustling city below!
Careful searching of the view and , yes, there was historic Sacre Coeur, behind one of the nearby tall apartment buildings.

- Connor MGlasgow, UK217 contributionsWent and saw Captain Marvel here and I really enjoyed my time here. Great interior, and loved the fact that there was a library and DVD shop attached also. My only gripe is that the staff could have been more friendly.Written October 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jean rParis, France50 contributionsThis is a very very good cinema house: comfortable, only original soundtracks and....
on saturday evening at 6 or 7PM, about once a month, there is a broadcast of an Opera live from the MET.
Yesterday, they gave "Cosi fan tutte" and it was breathtaking. It almost felt as being there!Written April 1, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is actually located in a basement, and the seating is comfortable enough.
The movie stops short around 2013-4, and that is definitely a drawback It also was not filmed using modern technology that imparts a true surround experience. Otherwise it was okWritten March 5, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Avoid the bar and snack counter which are, predictably, expensive. If you’re in the area, it’s a great place to waste a couple hours.Written June 17, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
