The view of the city is absolutely stunning, especially during sunset. "I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
... as a return visit from October 2019. I visited because it is famous and has a history. I crossed from the Grand and Petit palais areas on my way to visit (again) the museum of Les Invalides (see my next review).
I liked crossing, being on and observing, studying, analyzing and photographing 📷 the statues (see my "helpful" 👍 photos 📷, especially of foreign tourists with the bridge as the background.
WAS IT WORTH THE COST
Yes- it is free
WOULD 'I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN?
Probably, but not as a specific destination but as something that I'm passing anyway, between something and something else
ADVICE
* This is certainly worth seeing- walking on it, sailing underneath and looking from the sides of the river

Either way, the big bold church has never looked better, and since it sits at a crossroads, many tourists are likely to pass by to enjoy it. ... to be at the arc de Triomphe and to ascend to the top. i didn't explore the Champs Elysees- i didn't do that in 2019, and that was enough for me then

Even there, it is still free to be there

Of course I would return to the Arc de Triomphe again

* This is extremely well- located in the very center of Paris
* It marks the very historical exact location of the guillotine of the French Revolution of 1789
* Large and impressive archeological artifact from ancient Egypt, festooned with hieroglyphics
CONS
* In the middle of a horrendous and constantly busy hectic traffic circle area
* Difficult to access and be close next to it
* The area seems to always be under some kind of construction

... because it is so central and historic and iconic. On this visit, I didn't try to get onto the island where the obelisk stands.

It is a free public area

While there is still some high end shopping here, much of that has moved on and been replaced by offices. There are a couple of grand hotels and the lovely Champs Elysee Theater. - Kenny M1 contributionWe were delayed at take off and delayed again on landing at CDG with huge queues at passport control. I used the Easy Go Shuttle WhatsApp service to advise we were delayed and they kept in touch. Giving me the direct number for our driver. We were almost 2 hrs past our pick up time but he was there to get us, I was worried they would leave and we expected a grumpy driver as they'd had to wait so long but our driver, Mr Osman, was brilliant! We were greeted with a smile and he took one of the cases. He got my family to our apartment in a very clean and comfortable Mercedes. I would highly recommend Easy Go Shuttle, especially Mr Osman. While waiting for something else, my eye fell upon this building, which appeared to be the Hotel de la Marine, completely renovated and only open since 2021. Fascinating interior and a great view over part of Paris from the balcony. There are various tours. We took the tour with the salons, the shortest one.
