Pros: The tour guide was wonderful. She knew her stuff and gave us a lot of information. The sites we visited were amazing. I could have done without the third day which was the Loire valley but that is just my personal taste. I prefer Versailles and Fontainebleau.
Hiccups:
For a “ luxury” tour the AC was awful on the bus and it is July! We asked multiple times to have it adjusted but there is only so much the bus driver and guide can do. It is the tour company’s responsibility to make certain their “ luxury “ buses are functional in 100 degree heat.
The second hotel we stayed at had AC issues as well. Many rooms did not have functional AC at the second hotel.
Lastly just fyi if you have any mobility issues this tour may not be for you. There is a tremendous amount of walking and several people just sat out a few of the activities due to their inability to climb the stairs or walk certain distances.
Overall it was a nice trip and a great way to see this amazing region of France. I just wish the AC had been working better. It made for some uncomfortable bus rides and the one night at the hotel.

- karl12342015Rennes, France15 contributionsWe had a wonderful full day tour of the Saumur wine region in the Loire Valley. The full day trip was definitely worth the time and money.
The tour featured three wineries: one medium scale operation, one large scale operation (specializing in sparkling wines), and one small winery. Included was a guided tour of each operation, and a wine tasting of several of their wines. At the small winery, we met with someone who works the fields and produces the wines, with detailed insights into BIO wine production.
We drove through many vineyards and were given great information about wine production. We had a nice light lunch at troglodyte cafe, built into stone caves.
Our guide picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel in Angers in a new air-conditioned mini-van. He doesn't work from a script -- he knows his material well. This allows customizing the tour to your interests.

We spent three full days seeing the best of Normandy Brittany and Loire Valley but we felt very rushed throughout the entire trip. Worst of all, Cyrus didn’t give much information in the car (he barely spoke) but after we arrive at the site he would tell us things which took up the already limited time we had to see the sight. While most tours would include St. Malo along with St. Michel, Cyrus skipped St. Malo and instead took us to see an old town called Dinan with a French tour guide. We felt that was a poor choice of sights. The whole trip could have been a lot better as the area was really beautiful! Furthermore we have never been reimboursed. Please do not rent a car with EASY JET. We were finally forced to rent another car with a local agency but at a far higher rate.
