Toni was so passionate and knowledgeable, and remembered everyone's names. It's a small group so you have a chance to ask any questions - all of which were answered. Toni seems like a naturally curious person which shows in his knowledge of Lyon, but also asks about you too. The pre-tour communication was great and post-tour, were sent a list of recommendations mentioned throughout the tour. Our guide was incredibly well prepared. The tour flowed so well, he was thriving with a large group, even made jokes and answered random questions - a very charasmatic guy. He chatted with people between points of interest, engaging with his crowd.
I say it should be the first thing to do, after the tour we had a better idea of what we wanted to do with our stay and learned a lot more than just wandering alone. Our guide Michael was knowledgeable on a wide variety of subjects, from history to architecture to science and the arts. He was accommodating when we wanted to stop to see something up-close and took a few great souvenir photos in scenic locations. Eddy was very passionate about wine and shared his extensive knowledge in a way that was easy to understand at all levels. The lunch at Assemblage in Tournon-sur-Rhone was off the charts, probably that best meal I’ve had so far, and very reasonably priced! - Janejohnson115543 contributionsMy son and I are very fortunate to share a culinary experience and a great cooking course with Joelle in Lyon and at her beautiful home.
We had the opportunity to make various dishes with Joelle. The starter dish was a cheese pastry dough twist. The other dishes include potatoes, shallots, butter covered in French cheese, and cooked in the oven for 1.5 hours. Another dish include pork loin soaked in a cheese and herbed sauce. After lunch, we had chocolate soufflé and various cheeses.
Joelle took us for a nice walk at an open air food market selling meat, cheese, seafood, bread and vegetables and fruit.

Each stop represented the unique foods of Lyon, but she made the experience like a story filled with anticipation and satisfaction! The food was phenomenal and she followed up with suggestions for can’t miss places and great restaurants. You won’t be disappointed if you book this tour. - Bruceava36 contributionsWe had a wonderful time with Chef. The experience was very hands on, but also done to accommodate all levels of skill. I was there with two teenagers, who were put to work with fun activities, but those that better met their abilities-including making us two wonderful tartes. Chef was extremely kind and shared a lot of information about Lyon, but also tricks to French cooking. And of course the meal at the end was equally great.
