Expensive and no shade once inside. For those living in Lyon or just visiting, you will find American movies in English, French in French, Chinese in Chinese etc. 24 different rooms, plenty of options of movies and time. Love this cinema, it is our regular haunt. - DynorocketEugene, OR136 contributionsLyon is a very international city, and while the city has only recently stepped up efforts to make itself more attractive for english speaking tourists, it does cater to it's english speaking business community. The International Center, just to the east of the Parc Tete D'Or, is a huge high-end complex which houses many international families along with cafes, the modern art museum, and this wonderful international cinema.
This theater shows a mix of french and foreign language films. English films are shown both in english (with french subtitles) and, at different times, in dubbed french. Look for the showtimes with the initials VF for the shows that play in their native language (english).
It's a wonderful cinema with all the modern comforts and conveniences plus a wine bar in the lobby. A show and drinks here would make a wonderful end to a morning spent strolling and picnicking in the park, and an afternoon checking out the contemporary exhibit.
After a full day of wrangling with french it's nice to relax and watch a movie in anglais.
