- MNRLVEUColumbus, OH412 contributionsThese are a hidden gem in the old town. They can be tricky to find the open ones do have a placard noting the entrance. As noted in the other review, most have been closed, according to our tour guide, unfortunately due to rude tourists yelling and a screaming and giving no respect to the fact people live here, it’s not Disney. Go enjoy but be respectfulWritten July 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Lode16 contributionsGreat museum, not only if you are into fabrics and textiles but also to get a general view on what made Lyon so rich in the 19th century. It is very small but all the relevant machinery is present. However, if I'd ever come back, I would opt for a guided tour because now, we lacked a little visualization with the machines. (Information is mostly in French, very little English)Written July 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - deniscroissantManchester, UK176 contributionsTerrific treat for those obsessed with graphics, fonts and the International history of print. This is one of the best speciality museums I've ever visited, the 3 floors are set out well and beautifully designed, lots of printing machines, examples of graphic designs and rare printing, texts are in English as well as French.
The museum is in a 15th century former Hotel de Ville and has lots of nooks and crannies and you enter from a handsome courtyard... Great shop too, friendly staff, located on a side street off Rue du President Edouard Herriot, up from the Cordeliers metro station...from 10.30 A.M closed Mon & Tue.Written October 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - galleo19Sweden77 contributionsPeculiar, don't miss it. Free entrance, fresh water fountain and quiet around make the rest. 5 stars when brochures / information on the place will be available. It's one of those places that really makes you curious.Written July 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cordyroyMobile, AL2,327 contributionsAnother out of the center destination is the Concept neighborhood Garnier created in the early 1920-30's. He created several of this type of city or community. Some were actually realized. The walking tour of the murals relating to Tony Garnier covers a good area so bring comfortable shoes. The read along booklet available at the Museum proper is very good. - GlobetrotterbreizhHomecourt, France84 contributionsVery nice place to go to with the kids. They have a lot of artifacts and the kids also got to go into one of the trucks.
This museum also tells you about some of the historic facts that happened around the area.
I strongly recommend the place. The price is very reasonable.Written July 11, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Her attention to detail and her appreciation for our interests and questions made each one feel appreciated. We began the day with a trip to the market, her neighborhood market, so it was extra special. I felt a friend was introducing me to her friends, the local vendors and farmers. I admired her ability to whip up a full meal based on what we were all asking and marvelling at. She did not have a set menu all ready for us, but built one for us right there and then! Back in her lovely fully equipped kitchen, we all got instruction, history, conversation and more while we worked towards preparing our meal. Aside from the lovely kitchen, she also had a lovely dining room all set for enjoying our meal. At the end of the day, she went from teacher to hostess as she served wine, fromage and dessert... I was grateful and appreciative as I reflected on her many gifts to us that day. She is generous with her time, knowledge, talent, and spirit and is sharing it not only with tourists but promising youth at the beginning culinary path. Quentin, a budding culinary student, was supporting her as an intern. Merci Lucy, if you come to Guatemala to meet your Bocusse friends, do know I will gladly host you!

The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food and drink were good quality and we enjoyed it so much we went back for a second time. The cats looked healthy and as with other cat cafes we've been to, some were interacting with visitors and some were not, but they still really added to the experienceWritten January 8, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Janis DKaukauna, WI32 contributionsI spent my entire souvenir budget here! The scarves are, as to be expected, beautiful and unique, and knowing that they were made nearby made them quite special. I highly recommend a visit here, even if you do not purchase anything, to see the silkworms hard at work. Can’t say that they are particularly attractive, but their handiwork is.Written August 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
