I think we all need to see this to gain an understanding of what went on. I would think a couple of hours is all that is needed. They have done a good job with the memorial and the preserved wall segments.

Nice museum with plenty of artifacts both real and reproduced. This in combination with the Panorama exhibit next door make for a good couple of hours. Book tickets ahead however because you need to reserve your times and it sells out quickly.

The 'Brandenburger Tor' (Brandenburg Gate) is the only preserved city gate of Berlin, built in neoclassical style in the period 1788-1791.
It's definitely the no. 1 landmark in Berlin.
I guess that the rest has been written in all the other reviews.

What a great find. As a history buff, I could have spent a lot more time here. It is free. There is an interior and exterior part. Visit both. Awesome history of the SS and Gestapo and the horrors they committed.

This memorial is “live size” and allows you to walk through and in between the columns, allowing for quiet reflections on the horrors that happened to the Jewish people during the Second World War

This seems to be an Artists area in Berlin. Interesting food places and spots where people gather in the evening. The section of the Berlin wall that has been left as a memorial is extraordinary. Famous images have been painted on the wall here including the painting of the Trabant busting through the wall. If you are in Berlin and are staying near I thoroughly recommend spending an evening or part of a day in this area.

We visited Berlin Cathedral about mid day on a Friday and there was a service going on. The music made by the organ was just so beautiful. During the short service of about 20 min, we needed to be respectful and no photo taking was allowed

Tickets needed to be purchased from a machine - but the instructions were too clear. For adults, it costs €9 to enter, so just look out for the €9 tickets

This technical museum is most likely the most extensive one I have ever visited. There are so many different exhibits it's not really possible to go to them all, so it makes sense to study a bit beforehand and make up your mind, as then it will make it easier when you actually get there. I really wish we had done this :-) The exhibits are well organized and provide a good amount of detail on all of the exhibits. We could have easily spent the whole day here, but spent probably 3+hrs as then it felt like a good time to leave.

Seriously relaxing to take a walk away from the busy city in Tiergarten. Always a must for any visit to Berlin.

This is an old palace about more than 500 years old, built with a Baroque architecture facade and looks stunningly beautiful. It is located in the Mette area of Berlin.

Berlin zoo was a good walk from Brandenburg gate but easily accessible by various modes of transport.

The zoo itself houses a good variety of animals and enclosures to have a look at. It has all animals large to small insects. It’s also really clean and has different food offerings while inside too. Although it was very quiet inside the zoo so not too many people standing in the way of the enclosures.

We thought they had a kiwi bird but they don’t which is sad. Maybe another zoo.

The zoo itself is having some new rhino enclosure built so they are off show at the moment at the time of our visit.

Overall a good half day trip to visit the zoo.
