What travellers are saying
- ClaudioYWilmington, NC173 contributionsRomer is located in the historic center of Frankfurt, Definitely one of the places you want to visit while travelling to Frankfurt, or you have a long layover. Very easy to arrive by public transportation, a lot of beautiful historical buildings.Written July 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EGM68Gateshead, UK213 contributionsA must see museum if you're visiting Frankfurt. Impressive building, with a great view over the city from the roof. As for the exhibits, there's a wide variety of art on display spanning the ages, including a very good collection of modern art. There was so much to see that we were there for a good 4 hours. Recommended.Written August 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dominik HnízdoHranice, Czech Republic7 contributionsWhen taking look from the observation platform, you get really great overview of the city. The view is an amazing experience. Have on mind night or sunset are quite peak hours. You may also check current number of people online. I do not recommend to go there, when there is a really lot of people. I went there after rain 5 PM, no waiting lines and it was fine.Written September 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dcjer2015Washington DC, DC58 contributionsIt’s hard to believe how much is here and how impressive it all is. From the lovely flower and butterfly house to the myriad pleasant and not-overly-manicured outdoor spaces to the unbelievable dahlias to the never-ending tropic greenhouses…not to mention the rose garden and palm house and it just keeps going. Plus as with other tourist sites in Frankfurt in our experience it was not empty but not crazy overcrowded even mid-summer. Very highly recommended!Written July 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- EGM68Gateshead, UK213 contributionsInteresting indoor market which is a worth a look if you're passing by. Lots of fresh produce and plenty of opportunities to try samples of the various foods that are on sale. Not a must see attraction though a pleasant way to spend an hour or so.Written August 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brittany_11_10Los Angeles, CA1,769 contributionsGreat natural history museum! Perfect for our toddler. Not too big as to be overwhelming, or as to "necessitate" a whole day (or multiple days) to feel like you can see a lot--although we (adults) could have spent more time there to read more.
Plenty of taxidermized animals, organized well, and one or two I'd never seen before--or even heard of, and I've been to a number of natural history museums around the world. Also one of the better bird exhibits I've seen; there were so many! Again, well-organized, easy to see, and easy to learn where they came from/where they reside when alive.
The dinosaur hall was the highlight for our toddler. The collection isn't as vast as it is in other museums with dinosaur fossils on offer, but with the space around each, everything was easy to see and really stood out. We saved this room for the end because we had a hunch it would be a big hit, and we were right.Written August 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not enough to occupy more than an hour or so though as cathedrals go it's one of the better ones we've visited on our travels. Very easy to find, as it's not far from a U Bahn station and close to many other local attractions.Written August 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brendan DCounty Dublin, Ireland105 contributionsBusy station which accommodates both subway & suburban trains. We took the train to Heidelberg and utilised the automated ticket machines which provided us with frequency of trains departing/ arriving both stations. Signposting and support by way of information is good. There are a myriad of food and beverage outlets as well as other retail outlets.Written September 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ryles40London, UK31 contributionsWe flew from the UK on the 26th July to attend the Travis Scott concert. Had a good seat even though we were still quite high up. The concert was absolutely AMAZING!! My advice to anyone else coming here for a concert would be to maybe leave a few minutes before everyone else because when it finished and everyone is leaving there are people literally everywhere! The train station was absolutely packed and if I'm honest it felt a little bit dangerous as at one point we were all so squashed up and nothing was moving. However the police did stop anyone else coming into the station for a while until it cleared a bit. So if you leave just before the last song finished you would avoid the rush at the end. My only gripe with the stadium was I was charged £13 for 1 cup of water and 1 cup of coke. Looking back I think I was charged for 2 cups of coke so was obviously overcharged but the language barrier proved a bit difficult so I didn't complain.....but should've! There was lots of security, Police and first aiders all around the stadium so it felt very safe. I attended the concert at Tottenham Stadium in London and to be honest I didn't see no where near as many Police or medical staff so this was good to see and it felt very safe. If you ever get the change to see Travis Scott in concert DO IT...…the atmosphere is unbelievable! Personally I felt the Germans done it better than the UK 😃Written July 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kelly BIowa5,470 contributionsSurprisingly peaceful considering it’s in the middle of the city. It made for a very nice stroll on a Sunday afternoon. Many others were doing the same, but it wasn’t at all congested.
There are several museums along the way. I visited the Stadel and the sculpture museum, and would highly recommend both.Written August 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
