The memorial is a fascinating mix of Communist architecture, Nazi atrocity, and peaceful rural sights.
It’s very easy to get there, wonderful road and view and very impressive .

... over the bridge with it's quaint and authentic little shops and scewed windows and doorways, make sure to walk the two parallel streets so that you can view the houses on the bridge from the front and the back.

You will also be able to enjoy a great view of this beautiful city from the top of the "Domberg" that you can climb by walking up those 70 steps to enter the Cathedral.
We walked up the steps and the building and views are incredible from start to end.

Wartburg Castle Eisenach
Essence of significant medieval history in many aspects, very early medieval history and architecture, and also the site of world changing events in relation to Luther and Reformation history.
This was an amazing place with history and a great view out onto the surrounding countryside the guided tours let you get right into the history of this spectacular castle.

Domplatz Erfurt
It's a Plaza with a cute market, and a great view of the cathedral, which is one of the more architecturally interesting ones I've seen from the outside.
Also in summer this square is a great sight as you have a majestic view towards the cathedral.
Weimar's landmark
The artefacts by themself are not of exceptional artistic or historical importance; however they demonstrate how the poet has shaped his world view and core of his ideals.

Great view from middle Germany's highest tower
It's nice to go to a museum/site that has been tastefully preserved and is thoroughly recommend visiting the site if your in the area.
Whatever, we called in to this former concentration camp - the site where 20,000 slave workers died building Hitlers Revenge weapons, the V1 and V2 rockets to learn and to show respect.
Here you have a perfect view over the city and on top of the zitadelle, there is a small park, perfect for a nice picnic or just to hang around.
Amazing Views! a must when visiting Erfurt!
Our 500th Anniversary of the Reformation tour group visited this site due to its historic significance in the life of Martin Luther.
This is one of the most important landmarks for the celebration of 500 years of Reformation with Martin Luther.
