The most magnificent square in Seville, really grand and beautiful. If you are lucky enough you might see flamenco dancers performing there.

    Well worth the entrance fee.
Great examples of Middle Ages Muslim architecture which has been really well preserved.
    Well documented signage in English.
Many rooms to visit plus great gardens.
Might not have the views of Alhambra being high on a hill but the palace itself is larger.
If you are in Seville this is a must see.

The gardens contained lots of birds and a bit of a sanctuary.

It’s unbelievable how they built it in them days with chisels and hammers. The outside of the cathedral is much more magnificent and intricate than the inside. Your ticket allows you to go in the Tower, you can walk up (wear comfortable shoes, as it’s quite a challenging walk) and see tower bells and bird eye views in all four directions. Very crowded, as expected.

We loved walking through Santa Cruz area. There are nice cafes and shops in this picturesque setting. There were beautiful gated estates with adorable patios and gardens, white washed walls with ornamental hardware, narrow cobbled streets all winding around like a maze. We had fun exploring on our own, but we took a walking tour so we could learn the history too.

To be honest, it was a bit disappointing. I've climbed many a tower whilst on holiday and found this one a bit disappointing if I'm honest. It was a busy day so took about 35 minutes to get to the top. The views are OK although the bells are probably more interesting. I think I was hoping to see a bit more of the external roof structure but you can't as the maority of the windows are boarded up. Very easy access though as the entire tower is one slope - there are no steps. It's so they could use a donkey to get to the top - strange but true!

Beautiful well laid out park with colour everywhere and plenty of seating dotted around to take a breather from the heat, keep your eyes peeled for the Parakeets, you can hear them but they are little harder to spot.

Seville is a perfect historic city to explore and the central area has so much to commend it.
The architecture is stunning, there is a relaxed vibe…nobody hassles you and you can take time to soak up all that Spanish goodness, even in the winter.
