Gorgeous area, the views are outstanding, can be a bit scarry walking round the edge of the cliffs, and dangerous so be careful.
The coast along the Mar Cantabrico is beautiful and this view has got to be one of the most spectacular.

Great drive up from Arriondas very winding road , only go on a clear day fantastic views when you get to the top.park in the car park and walk the short distance to the observation platform.
There is a concrete pulpit type structure which allows you see over the treetops an unhindered view with details of the names of mountains etc.

A beautiful place to visit together with Santa Maria where you get a view of Oviedo and get to know with a very competent guide the ancient history of the place.
You can easily do both in a morning or afternoon, and there are great views of Oviedo from the mountain too.

The Basilica and grounds are lovely and the views of the mountains and chapel in the cave are worth the visit.
This is a definite detour to most people's itinerary in Spain but its a gorgeous site surrounded by beautiful green mountains and cheap places to eat.
Puente Romano Cangas de Onis

So pleased we went here, the roman bridge is stunning, beautiful setting with fantastic views of the fast flowing river and mountains in the background.
It has a high pointed arch shape, with a metallic Asturian cross hanging from the top of the arch, through which you get an amazing view of the mountains and river behind.
