What travellers are saying
- James P55 contributionsThis place is one of the best places I have been to on the continent. It is free to enter and easy to climb. You must book at the ticket office. The is a very dangerous coastal path that I would steer clear of but the lighthouse itself is great. So beautiful.Written November 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AnnPalmerUK161 contributionsVery large impressive square with the City Hall dominating it. Lots of bars near by. Well worth a visit. - DodoDidiTampa, FL1,160 contributions3 levels of hands on interactive child friendly activities, seals in the pools and a majestic shoreline that was in full force on the day of the visit.
IMPRESCINDIBLE.

This park is a marvel. It has everything you could wish for in a park and much more. I think it's a must-visit in A Coruña, and you're going to enjoy it no matter your preferences for leisure and having a good time.
It is located by the sea on top of a hill that offers views of both the city and splendid views of the ocean. The meadows and gardens are well maintained. There are comfortable, soft grassy fields where you can lie down, walk barefoot, read, or simply watch time pass by.
It’s full of corners where you can lie down, hide to find peace, or have a beer or picnic with family and friends. It’s perfect for going with kids and also as a couple. It’s romantic, tranquil, and fun at the same time.
There are several viewpoints facing different cardinal points. A very well-planned maze where you can get lost and from which it’s not so easy to escape. An authentic labyrinth. Benches, a pond with a waterfall, and bucolic corners that you will love.
In addition, it has several military treasures from the 1920s, bunkers, and enormous batteries created to fire cannon shots defending our coasts from invaders that have hardly ever been used.
As you can see, it’s a gem. You can't miss it. UNMISSABLE!Written August 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Only 2 euros to get in, what a bargain. Easy 15 minute walk from the Cruise terminal, you don't need a taxi. The fort has been well restored and is definitely worth a visit. Nice clean toilets inside too.Written July 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jenz10113 contributionsBeautiful port city with it's amazing glass architecture. City has done well to reduce visual pollution because very, very few signs or billboards. - Juande MorenoProvince of Seville, Spain335 contributionsMore than the beach itself, what I truly recommend is walk (or run) all along the promenade, starting from here (in front of the mythic stadium) all the way to the marina., crossing the Tower of Hercules and its surroundings. A challenge, but worth tryingWritten August 21, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- machinmadYaxley, UK2,655 contributionsWe walked from the cruise harbour right round the city's peninsula….the well pathed promenade provides lovely views out to the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding Spanish countryside on the opposite estuary bank. You pass golden beaches, a small replica Stone Henge, a giant "Herculean" lighthouse and lots of different nesting seabirds.
The city of La Corona itself has lots of beautiful period buildings. I’d describe a lot of the old architecture as colonial. The beaches are well cared for, the surf is moderate and there are plenty of shops and bars to explore.

- nsander219Chelmsford, UK651 contributionsThis is on the coastal walk on the way to THE Lighthouse. However please be very aware and stick to formed paths. This area is used by dog walkers (we counted twelve just in 10 minutes all relieving themselves on the grassed areas) and it stinks.
This was a great idea for the coastal area here - bonkers monument park. The Stonehenge sones are interesting but the Menhirs with their cut holes give interesting alternative views of the area.

This beautiful Romanesque church is located in the heart of Old Coruna. The church has undergone various renovations. Its interior is very simple, consisting of a single aisle. Inside it houses two carvings of the Virgin, pregnant and nursing. On the tympanum of the main façade, from the 15th century, there is a figure of Santiago Apostol on horseback. In the upper part there is a rose window. The visit is free.Written June 6, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
