What travellers are saying
- Ivan I42 contributionsThe whole architecture is unique and extremely smartly built. It is super functional and they’ve thought carefully about every little detail.Written December 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elliot MHove, UK241 contributionsMy girlfriend & I wanted to try out this Planetarium IMAX theatre.
We purposely picked a film that was recently made (a David Attenborough film) to give it the best chance of being good picture quality & it was!
The cinema is fully raked & you'll have the same view pretty much anywhere you sit as the seats are all angled backwards so you are looking almost upwards throughout.
My one big issue was that the legroom was very poor (I'm not that tall) & I was lucky that I could stretch into the next seat during the film & even that wasn't perfect.
You are not allowed to put your feet on the seat in front of you, particularly if someone is sitting there!
The actual film was very good with good sound & to experience this in almost 360 degrees is a visual treat...you were given a headset with a choice of languages & volume control which worked fine.
The loudest volume setting wasn't massively loud, but I think that was intentional as during the film I could occasionally hear the same commentary in other languages from other people's headsets that didn't have them on correctly!
I'd definitely do this again with a different film, but may sit on the end of a row to stretch out into the aisle.Written October 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Constructed in 2005 from designs from architect Santiago Calatrava,it's one of the most emblematic buildings in this great area of the city, never attended a performance but loved the look of this building ,well worth checking out if you're in the area .Written October 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is also a good specimen, though. With its asymmetric sail- or wing-shaped roof and its water pools necklace it is satisfying for the eye, imposing without being stark and forbidding. Worth seeing.Written October 1, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ev/Tara39 contributionsI love musicals and while visiting Valencia was able to see this spectacular performance, Gran Hotel de las
Rienas where the stars are Drag Queens. The music, dance, costumes, extravagant makeup, very colorful and professional style was amazing. It was their last performance in Valencia and onward to other cities. The theatre was very well kept and accommodating with comfort. Masks were a must throughout the whole performance. Great view no matter where you were seated. For those interested it's must see. Congrats to the cast !Written October 3, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Only 15€ for entrance includes a drink.

This was our 7th visit here over the years, always bringing along guests that may be visiting. This year we do not have visitors but we had a great time at our front row table of 5. We sat with a lovely Turkish/Kurdish couple and a sweet young woman from Kviv Ukraine! All strangers when we sat down but left feeling like once again, we have new friends. All over the magic of FLAMENCO!

Tonight we were treated to the amazing Flamenco dancers, Irene de la Rosa & Rosa Sanz (we have seen each perform in different venues in Valencia), the stunning voices of Javier Calderón & María Briones and wow, Manuel Reyes on his magical guitar! Can you believe they perform four nights a week. Thursdays through Sunday. I think we can all say that Flamenco should be woven into our fitness routines! To be able to move and sing like this, the passion is so intense. Absolutely LOVE IT!

And the staff at the door and serving are so friendly and kind. We had so much fun picking out special Christmas treats from a tray of goodies being passed around. The lady at the bar was a sweetheart and we loved visiting with her after the show (thank you for your kindness since we have very poor Espanol).

A grandly ornate façade is reflected in the embellishments within.

The dancers full of energy they were the definition of duende! Excellent performance, worth every cent of the quite affordable price. - Em S1 contributionThis is the second time we have been to Hawaika in two years - we loved it the first time so wanted to take a second trip. Even with everything going on regarding Covid, we felt very safe as the seating areas are usually cordoned off from one another anyway! The cocktails are amazing and the staff really try with their english when our spanish wasn't quite up to scratch! Will be back on my next visit to Valencia.Written August 4, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- PostcardsFromVLCWorld206 contributionsMy husband and a friend of ours watched Las Reinas Magas and their performance of Chao Chochin. It is a musical where they perform songs in different languages with various ranges. Teatro Principal had the perfect acoustics! We will definitely be back and watch other shows.Written March 12, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
