The exhibition also includes great details about Trajan's Column and a walk through an underground tunnel to view the column up close near its base (awesome!).

The building is located in a beautiful square with it superb obilesk and is located on Rome's highest hill namely Quirinal Hill which offers great views of the city.
It controls the view over a great part of Rome and the Vatican and one can easily understand why Popes (in the pat) and Italian government (kings and presidents) alike chose it for their seat.

This is one of my favourite places in Rome, close to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Corso and even Fontana Di Trevi, has museums and it gives you incredible views if you go on top of the Altare della Patria.
If you are passionate about the photography, some great shots you can have at altare della patria, and from its huge terrace there is an amazing view of Foro Romano.

It is a beautiful to view up close without the crowds which surround many of the other famous fountains in Rome, care crossing the road to get to.
See during the day, and walk by again at night for the views both times.
