What travellers are saying
- jfoxworthySanta Rosa, CA503 contributionsTruly stunning I loved everything about this incredible church from the roof all the way to the incredible marble floors. You must buy tickets for the stair climb the church is stunning but being on top admiring all the details and beauty of this magnificent building.Written March 27, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jfoxworthySanta Rosa, CA503 contributionsStunning shopping district with all the high end shops to break the bank. I am not a huge shopping fanatic but I do love architecture and was blown away by the amount of elegance. I wish there was a cafe where I could sit and admire all the details.Written March 27, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - haejinaSingapore, Singapore196 contributionsThe experience was amazing and the guide added value to the tour by pointing out details we would have never noticed.
Just one tip- you need to book online early and be on site early. We had quite a miserable experience because it was raining and we had whiny kids. It was unclear what to do there and some of the staff there were quite rude. You must first go to the ticket office (not at the entrance where we thought we should wait but need to walk a bit to the side entrance on the left) to get it checked with a passport then collect your whisperers at another counter. Remember to check your backpacks in the locker before you go back to the entrance (or you will have to walk back again- not fun in the rain and v stressful when the guide has already started to talk). Then there is another round of security checks.
The mural was incredible to see in person, highly recommend.Written January 1, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We enjoyed spending time walking around admiring the larger then life walls but the castle needs more info birds do that people can learn as they walk.Written March 27, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sabrina GabrielSeychelles685 contributionsWe chose to take a half-day break in Milan on our journey to Genoa. Finding a parking spot in Milan during December is quite a challenge, so we had to circle around a few times before we finally secured one. At last, after an extensive search. Our first stop was the stunning Piazza del Duomo. Incredible, simply incredible! Such a fascinating structure! Impressive and grand cathedral. The artistic work on the building is truly impressive. I didn’t have the opportunity to go inside because the queue was really long. Maybe next time! I was truly impressed by the cathedral. It was packed with people snapping photos and appreciating the architecture. Visiting it in Milan is an absolute necessity.Written January 23, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 1991KEBNavarre, FL1,684 contributionsOver 35 rooms of Renaissance art could be an overdose, and maybe this was, but it is a spectacular collection. It's worth the cost and the couple of hours spent viewing the art. There was a lot of works that can be gone through quickly.Written March 14, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - A.BWorldBrasov, Romania43 contributionsIt was a great experience!
There are a lot of stairs, but there is also a lift (for extra cost).
The climb was worth it, the view was great and the roof is nice if you want to see details of the architecture.
If you have time, we recommend going to the roof.Written December 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The canals are fun to walk around I really enjoyed watching all the fish swimming jumping in and out of the water. The area is described as Milan’s Venice it’s soooo not 😂 I hate seeing all the graffiti everywhere you look it truly takes away from the charm. Lots of cheap restaurants and the food is decent. I would suggest coming on a weekend night.Written March 27, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Hermes_NL 🇳🇱Amsterdam, The Netherlands21,857 contributionsThe very high rating of this church is well deserved. Incredible beautifully decorated. - Anda NegulescuBucharest, Romania160 contributionsOur visit was not connected with a show, it was just a tour of La Scala. We cued outside for over 30 minutes (and it was a quite cold December day), but we finally managed to get in. The idea is that they let people in as other come out, so as to keep only a certain number of persons simultaneously inside. The same policy applies for your time inside a box, this being the only moment when you actually get to see the hall itself. The hall is beautiful and it feels like a journey in time, as it looks like it was just recently built. The stage seems quite big, but not as big as in other world famous opera houses. We enjoyed very much the museum as well, there are lot of paintings and memorabilia of big names related to Opera (composers and singers).Written January 19, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dimitris LSydney, Australia54,757 contributionsWe enjoyed walking around Brera District. It is one of Milan's nicest areas. There are many lovely sights to see and numerous restaurants, but this time around we preferred to just window shop, enjoy the architecture and just laze about.Written October 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HighlandLass24Baltimore, MD280 contributionsWhile the Last Supper painting itself is faded, it is one of those must see sights. We didn't really see the church itself, but followed the directions for the Last Supper. The viewing is timed and you can only enter at your allotted time and you are only given 15 minutes to view it. It is more than enough time to admire it and move on. The ticket office to check in at your time and pickup the tickets seemed to be in a building just before the church itself so look for the signs.Written February 9, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
