We went after reading some great reviews and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by the owner himself and shown to the lounge area. The decor and music really make this place special, like no where we have been before. The drinks were amazing, completely original. One of the waitresses even made me a cocktail that was not on the menu, after asking what flavours I liked.
We spent several hours there, trying lots of different options from the menu whilst snacking on the free popcorn provided.

- Chris TWarrington, UK350 contributionsWe visited Florence as a part of my wife's birthday celebrations. Because we were celebrating I wanted to do something different and special so I researched cool bars and stumbled across a video for a secret bar. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Once I had the contact details I booked a table.
We arrived around 9:45pm and were shown to our table. The room is lit only by candles and the music is 20's/30's giving the ambience of a prohibition era speakeasy.
There is a good menu of specialist cocktails but you can whatever drink you prefer. The services is excellent and the prices were reasonable. - Andyvd81Quebec City, Canada348 contributionsBitter bar is a genuine speakeasy done well. Once you ring the doorbell, the barman himself comes out to greet and seat you. (The poor reviews complaining about this or the need to keep the noise levels down clearly have no clue what a speakeasy is). He sets you up with water and an explanation of the concept (you choose your base spirit and describe what flavours you enjoy). Once you've made a choice and shared your preferences, he sets out to craft a cocktail specifically for each customer. This means service is a little slower, but well worth it! Many musicians put this venue on their wish list to perform and once the date is set, the entire experience is a plus for both the audience and the performer. This pub was so good we visited daily.
I’m so glad we found this place at the beginning of our week long holiday.
Max was always welcoming and his staff are a credit to him.
A wide range of beers available to taste before buying, was well received (my wife recommends the Hugo Spritz).
