First trip to Florence and it would have not been complete without an italian leather coat. After some research I found La Pelle and am so glad we did! The service was stellar, selection was fantastic, and the price was reasonable for such amazing quality. A fabulous gem of a store and I could not have been happier!

Beautiful and stylish leather gloves. Very attentive service. Bought several pair for myself and as gifts. Thought price was reasonable for the quality.

This review is for the 5 day Grape Trotters Piemonte tour in September of 2021. If you read nothing else, know that if you enjoy wine, the Grape Trotters tours are second to none. I have visited Italy several times, and in 2019 I had the opportunity to take a couple of the Tuscany in a Bottle day trips (Brunello and Elite Cru) which were magnificent. However, I discovered that they also offered multi-day trips in several regions of Italy and France. My original trip was for the Rhone region of France, which was supposed to depart in June of 2021. Covid got in the way of that trip, but the Piemonte tour was still a go in September of 2021. The stress levels were high as the trip approached given the pandemic, but I received an email a couple weeks beforehand confirming the trip would proceed! Our group was small, only 8 people, which included Rebecca, our guide. Every day was amazing. I had thought that once we went to Barolo, the trip would go downhill, but I was 100% wrong. I learned about Roero and Barbera, Arneis and Timarasso, and several other varietals. One might think this tour was for wine experts, but not at all. Its for anyone who enjoys wine. Aside from the pleasure of trying so many different wines, I learned a staggering amount about the region. We visited several wineries that have limited exports to the US, and they provide contact info if you would like to stay in touch. Two of the wineries produce fewer than 20,000 bottles per year, and they make some spectacular wines. I believe only one of the wineries had any substantial exports to the US. Rebecca handled all the shipping to save us some money (its a bit pricier to ship from the winery, though you can if you want to) and I shipped a lot of wine. Beyond wine, every restaurant we ate at was well researched and spectacular. Some places had a course menu with a wine pairing and others were a la Carte. We even got to have lunch at one of the wineries where the food was prepared by the mother of the winery owner. On top of that there was still plenty of time on your own to do some exploring. The hotel was the top rated hotel in Alba, and the staff was wonderful. I have never had a better trip to Italy, or anywhere else. If you enjoy wine, you MUST try one of these tours.

This visit was beyond beautiful. You get to dive into a sensorial experience and are truly able to feel that there is thought and heart in every detail. Rarely experienced a place as beautiful as this and never had the chance to create my own fragrance until visiting Sileno!

We wandered into this tiny shop because of the beautiful leather goods in the window. We stayed because the owner was not at all high pressure and had extensive knowledge of his products. The business was started over 60 years ago by his mother’s family, He can tell you how and where every item is made. He was patient as we looked through numerous colors and styles. With the hundreds of leather stores in Florence, we were confused but so glad that we waited until we found Mannelli. These are the real thing, authentic, beautiful and very well-priced. Also, they speak multiple languages.

Bought a rosary ring and loved it so much in Assisi decided to buy another for myself and travel friend as a birthday gift eight months later in the US. Absolutely love the rings and so impressed with their online service. Beautifully boxed with the bag and insert included (was not expecting this level of service). Package was sent to the United States SO QUICKLY it was incredible. Also, so thrilled they included the gift bag and pamphlet to make it special Can't wait to give the blessed gifts I have purchased.

I was looking for a bespoke shoe shop, and instead I found an experience that literally changed my way of experiencing fashion.
After buying a fantastic pair of shoes, I returned home and discovered that Daniel Day-Lewis also had his experience as a shoemaker here, and I understood why he chose this little big dream in the middle of Florence.

After crossing the Ponte Vecchio, I stumbled upon this wonderful small shop filled with unique Italian ceramic pottery. I purchased three water pitcher, Acqua, in colors of blue/white, green/white, and blue/yellow/white. The unique design had a handle twisted like candy ribbon. Vey unusual and beautiful. I have never found anything in ceramic quite like these pitchers after wondering into many shops in Italy. These make wonderful gifts or a find addition to your table setting. These are sure to receive high reviews!
