- Sylvia ENew York City, NY7 contributionsThis was great tour, and a fabulous way to explore Tuscany. Our fellow tourists were excellent company and gave us lots of tips for other cities we planned to visit.
There is one caveat: these huge tour buses have to park a good distance from the center city, both in Florence as well as during the tour. In particular, the path from downtown Sienna to the bus is a long hike UPHILL OVER COBBLESTONES. Upon our return to Florence at the end of a very long day, we had to walk some 15 minutes in pouring rain to get back to the station. It’s a great trip, but arduous at points. Parisa was also very nice in coordinating the tour before we depart for the adventure, all around amazing experience. We would never have been able to have this experience on our own. We visited two beautiful wineries in the Tuscan countryside, and tried 4 wines at each. Both also provided some delicious food to eat as well. The trip was smooth, and we learnt so much about the wine and olive oil industry. We got so much more from the gallery through the tour. I would highly recommend. Galya highlighted key points as well as providing a history of Italy and the Medici family along the way.
