Rumour has is that Castello di Vincigliata will no longer be hosting weddings from 2019, which is a shame as it was such a beautiful setting for our in June 2018. The venue management left a little to be desired (we waited weeks for responses to emails, and some key information regarding 'exclusive suppliers' was left out of the contract) however the day itself could not have run smoother thanks to a group of fantastic external suppliers: I Vecchi Amici (catering), Rada Zilja (flowers), Adrienne Aereboe (Hair and Makeup), Facibeni Fotografia (Photography). The venue and view over Florence is simply stunning and in our opinion worth the 4,500E (+22% VAT remember!) rental fee (dry hire) for the afternoon/evening on a Friday in June. If planning your wedding here, make sure you ask the questions about exclusive suppliers upfront - you will need to contact the Alma Project for all of the lights/sound (c. 8k for lights & PA system) and they will say you have a choice of 3 (expensive!) catering companies. However we discovered for a 600E + 22% VAT "kitchen" fee, they allowed us to choose our own caterers...which still worked out cheaper! In a nutshell: Beautiful venue, frustrating management - but overall a perfect setting to a memorable day.
