Visited with friends - the admission was included in a ticket that gave us entry to Uffizi, the Pitti Palace and the gardens. The gardens are beautiful and from the upper terraces, you have great views over Florence. Be aware that in the heat, you can walk up sheltered paths rather than the main, exposed ones. Lots of benches to rest on whilst walking around. Very pleasant.

In January the garden wasn't that impressive but it does offer a really nice view of the city. Go if you have time in the winter but not a must do.

Very nice view of the city as you go up to Piazzale Michelangelo. Ideal place for a relaxing walk during spring or summer.

Villa was absolutely stunning. So much history there... Medici, Vittorio Emanuele... Beautiful garden. We followed timeline on their website and it was accurate. Just the guide didn't speak English, but there are explanations in every room and additional materials we could that thay gave us, so we could follow the visit. Also some audio guide trough QR code. And surprisingly, visit was free.

Only Open between 25 April > 20 May each year ..& free of charge entry!..the rocky /unpaved steeply-sloping terrain between the ancient olives makes for a very challenging descent & return..don't forget THAT!

But Oh The Iris! En mass & so many varieties, sizes & colours you may never see again! It was a joy!

But not really accessible for the physically-challenged like me >> & most certainly anyone wheelchair-bound cannot even attempt it, dare I say.
TIP : The Number 12 bus correctly terminates at the Piazzale Michelangelo .. but it quaintly drops you at a bus stop that's a differently-named destination! BEWARE!

No exotic plants to see when I went but the park was lovely and quiet and had a lovely chilled afternoon relaxing there away from all the noise of the centre. Great little hideaway green space to take a moment to switch off in between exploring the city. Lots of nice shady areas to keep cool as well. Would have been 5/5 if there had been plants in the greenhouse part

You can definitely see the history and beauty of what the gardens used to be, and are working towards being again. There is no admission fee which is nice. We came to see the famous citrus collection and unfortunately they are kept in a locked conservatory until April 15.

Villa Gamberai was beautiful - an exception to our visit to Florence. Unfortunately Florence, like Venice, has become unbearable. Crowds everywhere made it impossible to get into most museums and galleries, and when we did get in, it was impossible to see anything because of the number of visitors. Restaurants were full and there were long queues outside many of them. The general impression of the town was that of a machine designed for making money from tourists rather than a city famous for its beauty. Gamberaai gets you away from this, at least.

The public is allowed in once an hour on the half hour i. e. 10.30 11.30 etc.
The interior is stunning. It is one of the most beautiful villas I have ever seen. The gardens are laid out beautifully but not much in bloom this time of year.

You'll feel like you're not in the city when you stroll through this lovely park. The artwork is gorgeous and hidden around each corner. It's a lovely picture spot and break from the crowded city.

Lovely gardens for a relaxing stroll.

There are some beautiful trees, ponds and flowering plans in the gardens. It's not the most polished of venues, but it is nice place if you're looking for decent walk outside of the main tourist attractions.

This must have been quite a place when it was built. It's run as a venue for weddings etc now and could do with a little TLC in the garden. But that said, it is magnificent. Take care when driving up the hill to get to the Villa, the road is a nightmare with few passing places. Tip: pay a little extra to access the Villa for even better views and photo opportunities.

Stumbled across this. Fantastic little garden trying to put a small green little community into Firenze.

Whilst exploring a bit to the northern side of Florence we ended up here. It's nice enough but nothing spectacular by any means. Typical park type area with cyclists, runners and a few groups & couples sitting on the grass surrounding the large pond area. It was nice to see the young ducklings though, about 20 of them!

is on the way to Piazzale Michelangelo and is therefore worth stopping here for a while. There are nice sculptures and a small bar, quite nice.
