An amazing experience...Start was delayed due to icy conditions but the wait was worth it. The view is magnificent..both at the bridge and enroute in the cable car

I had a fantastic time on this excursion. Our tour guide was David, and he was amazing. He is super nice, thoughtful, and friendly. The weather was not great, but we still got to go up to the Glacier and see the suspension bridge, which was a wonderful experience. To be able to walk over a bridge in the clouds was amazing. David really felt for us that it was not a clear day, and he was able to offer us additional time in Montrex and also have a walk around the little village of Col du Pillon. He also provided wine, cheese and snacks when in Montrex, which we enjoyed by the lake. David gave plenty of suggestions for our time in Montrex and it was definitely worth the extra time. We went to the Queen statue and museum which was so special and completely free. In addition, on the way back from the tour, David stopped at the Charlie Chaplin house and a winery for use to take pictures. David went above and beyond to ensure we had a great day. I definitely recommend this tour, especially if David is your guide. We cannot control the weather but David will make sure you still have a wonderful time and have beautiful memories from the trip.

To say the view was breathtaking is an absolute understatement. This will forever be one of the most wonderful, gorgeous, and well worth it experiences of my life. It is impossible to describe the beauty of this destination but you absolutely must go! Roger was phenomenal! He was kind, funny, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. He genuinely made the whole experience that much better! I once again, cannot recommend this tour to you enough. If you are thinking about going, go! It is easy to find the meeting spot and a quick and beautiful drive to the first cable car taking you up. I absolutely loved going up to this great height and the way up is so much fun! It is cold of course so wear appropriate clothes. There is a small shop at the top of the mountain where you can purchase gloves, souvenirs, etc., which I loved. You can also walk out to the glacier which is stunning as well. Oh, the best part! They have an alpine coaster! Which is so much fun! I did it multiple times because I absolutely had a blast going down and controlling my speed! So fun and super safe! After we came down Roger had a nice bottle of wine for us and some local snacks to munch on! It was wonderful! I absolutely cannot wait to go back!

We chose this trip experience primarily because we wanted to spend only one day venturing outside of Lausanne and because of the authenticity of the cheese and chocolate features. We were impressed with all of the features of the trip, knowing that we were there for the educational experience within the factories, to enjoy the beautiful views, the tastings, and to see the medieval village. The trip was EXACTLY as described and we enjoyed every bit of it. We toured on a Sunday. They arranged for an extremely convenient pickup point right outside of a Metro station in Lausanne (which we were already very familiar with from our weeks' outings). The driver was very kind, informative, and sought to assist us all throughout the day. He was very clear on each place we visited...what to expect, our timeframe, his recommended viewing areas, etc. The Callier chocolate factory has an entertaining and informational audio tour with a smaller replica of the machines and process used in the chocolate making operation. The tasting room was plentiful and you could taste whatever and however much you wished! At the end of the tour, was a giftshop where we purchased chocolates to take home in a cooler bag. We then ventured further into Gruyere to the cheese making facility where we had a tour of the cheese making process, with lunch in the restaurant. Others on our tour bus (a group originating from Geneva) had purchased packages from a different travel vendor, which included a fondue lunch at the cheese factory and Golden train trip back down the mountain to Montreux (this TripAdvisor package DOES NOT include that, which we knew), but our driver was able to upgrade to add our lunch and panoramic train ride....which was excellent because we were then able to eat with the people in our bus group and the meal was already pre-arranged for them and ready to go (i.e. no finding lunch on our own in the village, which we liked due to timeframe). We then ventured into the village and toured the buildings, the church, and walked up to the castle. We were advised that we would not have time to tour the castle, as we had to make our train departure time...which again, was fine, because we knew this already and had not really planned to see the inside of the castle. We were very content with the fabulous views, the idyllic village, and the many opportunities for photos, and strolling. We met back at the bus and the driver put us on the train to head back towards Lausanne. He picked us up from the train station, attended to guests' requests for toileting needs, and we were on our way back to Lausanne/Geneva. In all, our driver was attentive to us, always checking for headcount, making sure we were all accounted for, we followed his instructions precisely and all went well. The factories were very educational, food was delicious, and the views spectacular. If you want a stress-free excursion, where you don't have to plan, arrange, drive, or orchestrate anything, this is your trip. We got on the bus, enjoyed, and were dropped right back where we started, happy as can be! If you like to control your own traveling experience, are picky, grumpy, or are a negative-nelly who doesn't enjoy history and scenery, well, I don't know what to tell you...we absolutely loved it!

This is a great tour. It's pricey, but everything is in Switzerland.

The tour guide was great (Dean I think). He was entertaining and funny, always willing to take the photos so we didn't have to take selfies. He knew some extra hidden spots and surprised us with a little picnic just beyond the base of the glacier with wine and cheese. A nice touch.

The glacier has incredible views. It's obviously weather dependent and when we were there the clouds opened for some great views! It was snowy and windy though so wrap up warm. A little disappointed that the alpine coaster was closed but no fault, just the weather. A short stop in Montreux was a welcome break on the drive home. A lovely lake town with some interesting links to the band queen.

Highly recommend this tour. Well organised and stunning views and scenery!

Weather was cool with slight humidity. The place was easy to find and our tour guide David was right on time. We had a minibus with a group of 7. David was very informative with points of interest and history along the route. He answered our questions readily. Our first stop was Chaplin house and it was magnificent -- we wish we had more time to spend there. The next stop was a boat ride which was peaceful and full of great scenery. We then visited the Chillon Castle and what an experience in history that was. The next stop was Montreux and a walk along the lake. Freddy mercury statue, Queen Experience inside the Casino and a nice on your own lunch. The final stop was at a vineyard high up above the city where we were tested to the region's wine and snacks. This is an excellent tour and we highly recommend it.

We missed the boat! Got to Montreux with plenty of time to spare but the Christmas market made parking a nightmare,no spaces in the municipal car park,so had a long, slow walk through the crowds.
So disappointing for the kids but we enjoyed the market stalls which helped make up for it.
Maybe try again next time we visit.

Key Tours runs a good tour. They are organized and on time. This tour was pretty nice. I liked the castle and Chaplin’s house a lot. Totally worth doing.
