Our guide Richard was fantastic and gave great context on all sorts of interesting topics.
The tour also felt about the perfect length for our family which included grandparents (70s) and our 4 and 6 year old. We had just enough time to enjoy of of the sights at each of the stops and they all offered a unique perspective. Zaanse Schans was beautiful and Edam was charming. The cheese and clog demos were interesting and the cheese was tasty as well! Volendam and Marken aren't places i'd go out of my way to visit, but we're glad we went as part of the the tour.
The tour was also great value as each adult was around $40 and kids were around $28 (bought last minute via tripadvisor). The uber to Zaanse Schans alone would have been 50 EUR without the interesting commentary.
The weakest part was probably the food at lunch (de Lunch), but it was fast. There's a range of other eating options and Richard pointed out vegan/veg options for the folks on the bus.

- Apval74Stoneham, MA5 contributionsI was a little apprehensive about going on a 3.5 hour food tour. I even went so far as to tell Elena, our guide that my wife and I might cut it short. I must say, I was wrong, we went the whole tour and I would have kept going! Elena is an excellent guide and had us experience Amsterdam like a local and try all the local delicacies. Many interesting foods we would not have known to try. Not too big a group, which made it more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this tour as a great way to get your bearings around Amsterdam.
