Parque Infante D. Pedro is close to Aveiro public hospital and Aveiro University, 1km away from the city center.
This is a great place to stroll around, enjoy nature or just sit on a bench and stare at the ducks swimming around the lake.

This is an amazing chapel with a huge local history: every year on the first Sunday in January, locals will fill this area where people go to pay promises that they have made the previous year.

On the lagoon side, you can also go out on a boat, sailing, windsurfing, etc. Very quaint with the old spruced up fishermen houses, with bright stripes, turned into vacation homes, or lived in year round.
If you happen to be in Aveiro region, take a short trip to Praia a Costa Nova and delight in this quaint village with its stripped houses overlooking the Ria (a salt water 'river').
