The Atlantic coast is marvelous, the antiquity in the surrounding areas is plentiful and you can fill your days touring, at the beach, shopping or enjoying the various sights and strolling the downtown.
It's a short train ride from Lisbon, but a lot of the tourists sightseeing buses also offers trips - it takes a bit longer, but you'll enjoy great views of the coast along the way.

My personal favourite part of the building was the long glass conservatory, restored from its 1930s origins and extended, it has magnificent views over the bay.
Excellent facilities, food, serve, view and most of all history.
