This bookshop is gorgeous: books piled to the ceiling with ladders to explore! There is mix of used and new books in many languages, mostly Portuguese, French, and English. There are lovely trinkets for book lovers as well as some art to buy as well.

At the top of the bookshop there is a fun art installation/art school which you can explore that really fits with the vibe of LX Factory. This bookshop is definitely the best part of the LX Factory. If you like it you should check out the galleries across the street as well and the other bookstores just outside LXFactory.

Finally, there is a Jazz Store with records and music books and theory and it would be perfect for any music lover!

This is not a place for entertainment, but for conferences, symposia, etc., especially if the organisers wish to focus the attention of the participants on the event, not on shopping next door to the venue.

Madonna in the Coliseu! First concert in Lisboa and it got filmed for the DVD. What a night out was! We've never been so close to the action.
The acoustics are great (not up to par to a Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam). It's classic interior adds cachet to a night out. But the chairs on the floor could use a refurbishment.
We absolutely enjoyed the show! Thanks Lisboa!

Helpful staff and a cute bookshop, a nice selection in English and a quier cafe at the very end. Good cake!

We found ourselves at the Biblioteca on a Saturday afternoon and found it to be adequate, as libraries go. But I was really hoping for a grand display of books and other libraryish things, but no. It was a rather mundane building, with a small display area and grand hall with tables. I can imagine the space as a lovely and quiet place to study, but as a tourist destination, it just isn't worth the trip. They did have an old card catalogue, which I had to explain to my 16-year-old.

I've been living a couple blocks from this place since last December but only just discovered it. It is a public library made from a former palace, and there is free wifi and work/study spaces too. The interior is covered with antique hand painted tiles and the floors are intricate wood designs. Everything is light! There is a terrace that overlooks the garden in the back where there is a shack that sells refreshments. A great place to hide from the crowds, read a book, catch up on your emails or write a blog post! Occasionally they host events in the garden during the better weather months. It is a library, so if you bring children they must be well behaved and quiet.

Turismo de Lisboa Visitors & Convention Bureau is a useful place to visit when in Lisbon. It's a good idea to go there first if you have no idea where to go, or if you want to book excursions. We only visited to see what information we could get. The staff are helpful and try their best to provide with as much information as they can.

This building is located opposite the MAAT museum. You can get there easily if you take the bridge that connects the MAAT to the other side of the road. Normally it’s not really an attraction but apparently they have regularly free exhibitions. It’s best to check online whether there is anything new happening. Currently you can visit an exhibition by two artists : Sara Maia and Pascal Ruesch. The work of Sara Maia reminds me sometimes of the work of the great Portuguese artist Paula Rego.
Not something that should be on your bucket list but if you’ve got 20 minutes to spend it might be interesting.
