Nico covers history to geography, botanics, traditions, fauna + flora to modern day Madeira as well as food and drink!.
From start to finish Nico was a constant source of enthusiasm , Local knowledge and fun , taking us up rarely used mountain trails to show us the breadth and diversity of local food production on the island!

It was such a fantastic day with fantastic views, fantastic food, and fantastic tasting of rum, wine and poncha ;) I'd do it again :) Tiago is a excellent driver and guide, and he makes the trip extra fun.
This is interspersed with stops for coffee, local cakes, (optional) three course meal and of course sampling a freshly made local drink Poncha which I'm sure counts as one of your "five a day".

A great way to see Funchal, taste some of the amazing food and drink and an opportunity to meet like minded travellers, a real 5 star tour.
This tour took four of us on a leisurely journey mainly around the old town where we made 7 stops over a 4 hour period to sample the local food and drink.

Wonderful place to stop and drink the most wonderful rum and have a relax in what felt like a friends home.
We spent a magnificent evening (and then a second one) being introduced to Madeira's four rum distilleries and some of the drinks that Madeirans traditionally drink.

The result is fresher wines and more fruit driven, pleasant to drink even when they are chilled.
My family and I were all keen to understand more about Madeira wine as we drink it when on holiday.
