The only thing to be wary of is that some of the yellow taxis will overcharge if they have no meter showing, or you don't do a fare check first. - wayne t6 contributionsThank you for a fabulous tour of the local waters around Madeira. We had flat seas and were rewarded with many sightings of short finned pilot whales and dolphins aided by our very knowledgeable marine biologist crew.
All the crew were very friendly and attentive to all our needs.
We had an organised excursion booked with another company that was cancelled by our cruise ship, and we booked with VIP Dolphin pribately ourselves and we're not disappointed.
Safe operation, new vessels in beautiful condition.
Other company's charter boats were out too, but there were too many people on those. We had this VIP catamaran to ourselves.
Drink and food supplied.

- Alan C1 contributionWe had a great time on this tour. Our tour guide, John was amazingly knowledgeable about the island and all the places we visited. We had ample time at each stop to go explore or shop. We were picked up at a location very near our apartment, there were a large number of available pick up locations. The wave pools were closed on the day we visited there due to wave heights. We had plenty of time to get lunch and a gelatto and just sit and enjoy the power of the waves impacting the coast. Saw some small whales, no dolphins though. - Judith H33 contributionsThis is the second year we have used Pico Transfers whilst staying in Madeira. As before, the service was exemplary from start to finish. Ciro (our driver) was punctual, friendly and attentive. On our second trip (to 25 fonts) we thoroughly enjoyed his company and conversation (he was sensitive enough to realise most people preferred a quieter journey at 6am!). All communication with Elisabeth was very helpful and responsive. - Andrew D11 contributionsGreat trip. The crew were excellent, despite our group of passengers not being the most enthusiastic! At all times 1 or 2 crew were looking for dolphin/Wales and pointed out any they saw, they detoured to collect some plastic waste they saw, and were very attentive particularly to those less mobile or elderly. We were fortunate enough to have a 5-10mins with a pod of dolphins playing with the prows of the catamaran. Pilot Wales had also been spotted in the days previously however we didn't get to see these.
