Climbing the steps is very worthwhile, the church has an interesting history and provides great views over Petra.
For those who do make the effort, the reward is a wonderful view, from all compass points, of the Village, the bay and the mountains behind, etc.

The fortress overlooks the fishing village of Molivos and has excellent views of the village, the Aegean Sea, the Turkish coast 8 km away and of the inland hills.
A well preserved castle with great view and a marvellous sunset!!!if you are lucky enough you can watch a concert there,mostly during summer time

train from Petra to Molyvos, nice views, ticket hop on hop of 6 euro, I can recomand, we hop off Molyvos castle, we visited the fortress, then went down trought nice narrow aisles to the port, where we hop on
if you want a ride to enjoy the molyvos view and place just take the train ,the driver has fun ,with greek music and zorbas (OPA) choo choo choo
