The Zoo was educational, the animals seemed relatively happy with the exception of the Cougar who was very stressed! He just kept walking in circles around his small enclosure. To add to the stress, one adult was playing cougar sounds from his phone in order to aggravate him more. If you are ok with families cutting in front of you while you are viewing, having kids screaming at the animals, concession lineups, bathroom lineups, cycle carts, bikes, and scooters everywhere, then go on a weekend. Otherwise, maybe mid week, first thing in the morning.

The Fraser Valley is intensely developed, and it was wonderful to experience this beautiful green space so close to everything. Lots of walking trails, and beautiful scenery. A perfect spot for getting out of the rat race of a brief while! It's vast, so excellent to visit over and over again if you have the time.

Very clean walk along the river. Great place to walk the dog. Lots of interesting houses to look at on one side. Very park like.

Aldergrove park Is a nice park to hike and enjoy nature. We have lived in the area for many years and have extensively enjoyed it. We also ride our horses in the park frequently. Unfortunately people without horses tend to park in the equestrian parking only area. You're better to go early to avoid not being able to park your truck and horse trailer.
Also, I'm becoming increasingly concerned about the people with baby strollers on the designated horse trails, but more so of the cyclists on the horse trails. I know it's a multi use trail, but the cyclists tear around the trails at high speeds and do not follow the rules to slow down and or walk their bicycle when encountering horses on the trails. What is it going to take, a collision for this to change and/or improve for all can enjoy the park without worrying about a potentially deadly accident ?! I"ve had several close calls and it has been quite frightening. Why do cyclists think they're so entitled to use the trails themselves?!! They either need to respect the fact the trail is multi use and when they encounter horses, to stop until the horse has safely passed them or they need their own trails, not shared with horse riders!!!

One of several regional parks in the Lower Mainland. Hard packed trails, good for walking, jogging, pushing strollers, moving in a wheelchair... The paths meander through towering cotton wood and cedar trees. The paths also offer occassional benches if you like to take some breaks along the way. Or you might wish to stay closer to the vehicle parking lots and enjoy a picnic on beautiful wood picnic tables. Enjoy viewing the logging industry logs in booms along the shore.

We go frequently year round for picnics and or walks with our dog/family/senior friends. There is camping along the river with reservations in advance. Great for cycling as well.

An amazing active parkour park where you can challenge yourself to move through and over the many interesting obstacles. Also has a rink area for soccer and an adjacent bike park with plenty of challenging jumps.

I have been volunteering here for some time now and really enjoy spending time with both the lovely animals and people. They are all genuinely caring and dedicate their time to the animals. If you are able to I'd highly suggest visiting!

Considering it is only 12c today we had a lovely walk through the pathways and greenhouse. Saw dogs on leash, people seated enjoying a snack and joggers . The water features were pristine. As the season warms up it will just get better.
    Terrific garden design

This is a nice picnic area. There are lots of shade trees and picnic tables. Washroom facilities are clean and well maintained. There are walking trails and a creek where children were wading. There is also a playground. I visited with my adult children and we had lots of space for a bocci game on the grass. Dog friendly too. It would be a great place to take younger children.
