Magnificent park easy to walk sculptures amazing!! Bridge of sculptures but monolith my favorite.. flowers mostly roses were beautiful.
Statues adorn the park everywhere; they are naked and depict all facets of humanity from relationships to life and death..... Wonderful park with gorgeous gardens, flowers, fountains and lots of green space.

Take the 5 metro and enjoy a stroll or jog round the lake (3.3km) or just sit and enjoy nature, take a picnic - or use it as a starting point for a longer forest walk such as up to Ullevålseter cafe (5km each way).
Recommend a visit summer as winter for fresh air and beautiful nature and it is so great that the subway can take you there!

Vigeland sculpture park - an amazing creation by the sculptor Gustav Vigeland made between the 1920's and 1943, - is the world's largest sculpture park by one artist.
The park contains 212 bronze and granite sculptures created by Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland I visited this park in summer and it was great time to feel something energetic and fresh after snowy winters.

Absolutely Fantastic views in all directions in any point you are, amazing colors in autumn, berries to pick, tons of fresh air, magical nature!
We did the Gaustatoppen walk at the end of May, parking in the car park at Stavsro which was free and had plenty of spaces.

We selected to walk up the canyon to the nice small lake, thereafter we walked the easy track down the downhill skiing track where the car park s nearby.

When you follow this river you will discover a world with impressing waterfalls but also lovely modern architecture, historic buildings and nice parks.
Go north a km or so on the west side and you will come to the larger falls, some museums and a large wooden bridge to a coffee shop and a bronze statue on the east side in the park.

As it is close to the end of ski season the slopes were as expected however all in all we had a great few days fun at the Vinter park! Highly recommend a visit, the views of Oslo are postcard worthy!
The runs at the top of the park are fun, fairly easy runs with good variation and plenty of space, there is also some ramps and a half pipe if you're looking for more excitement!

Good thing for youngsters - there were a lot of parks for different skills and cool ski cross area with lot of kids riding on it all the time.
