What a fantastic example of a funicular railway and what a breathtaking view at the top. Truly good value for money, well worth it. We got a return ticket but chose to walk back down to the city centre approximately 5 kilometres (with detours to see hidden lakes and other view points. We certainly got our steps in!

So many nice galleries, and shops and a very cute little cafe. Especially in Jacobsfjorden, highly reccommend taking a trip there. Like a Norwegian Hogwarts 🥰 Defenatly going back.

Absolutely stunning. I wasn’t sure I was going to bother doing this but I am so glad I did. If the weather is reasonably clear then the views from the top are absolutely fantastic. It’s not just Bergen but the mountains and fjords. There are also many trails around the top, although especially if there’s snow and ice around please ensure you have the right equipment.
You have the choice of either taking the cable car both ways, or hiking one way and cable car the other. I chose the latter but very unwisely made the decision on the spur of the moment to descend. It’s a 2100 foot drop including 1300 steps and I was in completely the wrong kind of gear for it. Legs were like jelly at the end.

The majesty of nature is highlighted through simple touches, which nevertheless compose a painting, unique and at the same time shocking, which makes you feel the humility of your existence, enjoying the wonderful spectacle accompanied by a glass of wine! How wonderful they are!

As a lifelong admirer of Grieg's music, making a pilgrimage to his home in Bergen has been on my to-do list for quite some time. Seeing his residence, his composing hut, his grave, touring the museum, and capping everything off with a live performance of his music by an accomplished pianist was a great experience. I highly recommend it for anyone else who enjoys Grieg's music. If you're in Bergen, consider it imperative to visit Troldhaugen.

This was a truly beautiful hike, with great views! We saw many sheep and were lucky to have a clear day. And, there weren't that many people (did it from Mt. Ulriken to Floyen -- more people on the Floyen stretch). Should say that this is to most Americans a challenging hike. It requires hiking shoes (proper boots or good trail running sneakers with a thick sole) and scrambling on slippery and sharp rocks. We're experienced hikers, so no problem. But don't think this is an easy little walk between mountains!

A decent collection of Munch artwork. I wasn't too impressed by their modern art collection though. Then again I'm not a big fan of modern art. I bought the combo ticket that included transportation & admission to Troldhaugen, the Edvard Grieg Museum. Good value!

Super steep stairs up but an amazing view at the end. If you’re not in good shape maybe skip it and walk up another way. There’s a race going up in September every year. A fun way to get to Fløyen! A little tricky to find the start.

I think I saw a previous reviewer state that if you love archeology you will really like this .... And I think that's the best description. Very small but well done and can be completely viewed in an hour or so.

A delightful museum very well worth the short trip from Bergen. Lovely staff, really helpful. Not too busy. It’s not the biggest such museum - 2hrs will be plenty - but it’s lovingly cared for and an all round good experience.

Schoetstuene was the place for cocial life of Hanseatic merchants that used to live in bergen in medieval times. It was place where members of German Hanseatic League had there warm meals and it was school foryoung apprentices.
