What travellers are saying
- heath922Llandysul, UK247 contributionsThe castle is well kept and striking from the outside with information boards. Staff were friendly and knowledgable and a film was playing to give a brief history of the place. We then walked around on our own, the glass floor in the chapel area was interesting but I am not great with heights! Views from the battlements over Mumbles and Swansea Bay make it well worth the climb to the top. We also enjoyed the smaller passages and celler areas, they are well lit too.Written October 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jules102016Norwich, UK55 contributionsThe pier is worth walking down to. The stairs to get down are quite steep but there is a lovely coffee shop/restaurant as a reward on the pier. You can walk out on the pier but they were doing work to help restore it when we were there in June, so you can't get the whole way down to the end.Written July 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dora0811Kettering, UK44 contributionsThis is a fabulous walk with amazing almost 360 degree views across to Swansea, Devon and over to a Caswell Bay and beyond. You can literally see for miles. Lots of options for different walks across the hill. Sites of historical interest too with the WWII gun defences and info boards on the home guard. It can be very windy (as it is the top of a hill…)Written July 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jeffIvybridge, UK11 contributionsWent to link up with our son and his family on the Gower. Mumbles itself was really buzzing. Very busy with plenty of designer shops, bars and restaurants plus the attractions on the sea front and the pier area. We spent most of our time enjoying some of the many beaches in the Gower in particular Caswell, Three Cliffs and Port Eynon.Written August 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CarolineM10Cheltenham, UK11 contributionsVisited on a Saturday afternoon in cold January. Lovely cosy and friendly pub. Doesn’t serve food, just good beer and atmosphere. Wish we lived much nearer, as we would be frequent visitors!Written January 12, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Soul-Traveller-1974Canterbury, UK31 contributionsFun and safe outdoor playground for 2 -11 year olds. My 3 year old loves coming here so much, it's hard to get her to leave! There's also a small tea & coffee kiosk and a seafood seller onsite. Well worth a visit if your little one needs an hour's exercise.Written July 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
