Travelling to chalet in France this morning (Friday 20th December so very busy)
We have flexiplus and a dog this trip (typical)
A couple of minutes queue at ticket barrier
    Smooth through pet reception
Very clean toilets in the main building
Bit of a queue through passport control but not bad as all gates open
Main issue is impatient people chopping and changing lanes - this slows things up I always think
Flexiplus lounge was busy but organised and well
    Stocked
Arrived at 06:58 away by 0755
Can’t complain (still not beaten my record of 17 minutes!)

Staying in the grand Bustin it's a nice easy walk to get here. Loved that they have used the old train station and tracks to make a pleasant walk to the lighthouse. Lots of places to eat and drink in the summer months unfortunately not many in November. Still enjoyed the walk it's well lit so even walking on my own I felt safe

The Sunny Sands are great for everyone, young and old, however the toilets by the fish market are awful. They are outdated and need modernising. When I used them they were unclean, one door didn't lock, one had a toilet seat missing, there was no soap in the dispenser, no toilet paper in at least 2 of the toilets. Goodness knows why they can't kept clean and maintained properly. Visitors must be very disappointed to say the least. Folkestone has so much to offer but let down by this kind of situation.
Come on Folkestone Council if Hastings (always clean loos and plenty of them) can do it why can't you ? .........

    Tips for Visitors:

    - Mermaid Cafe is the best place to grab a drink or food
    - Check out the events calendar for exciting happenings during your visit.
(Mermaid Cafe usually post updates on Instagram)
    - If walking from the train Station go to The Leas and walk down the Zig Zag Path
    - It is approximately 10-20 minute walk along the coast to get to the Harbour Arm.

The park boasts a rich diversity of wildlife, from migrating birds to rare insects, thriving in its unique under cliff area with a microclimate seldom found in the UK. It's a haven for nature enthusiasts and families alike.

The park's amenities cater to all ages and interests. The 350-seat amphitheater provided a picturesque spot for a picnic while enjoying the sea breeze. The adventure playground, touted as the southeast's largest, was a hit with my kids, offering endless hours of fun and exploration.

Divided into three distinct zones - the wild, fun, and formal - there's something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you're seeking a tranquil retreat amidst nature or thrilling adventures for the whole family, Lower Leas Coastal Park delivers.

The park's rich history, dating back to 1784, adds an intriguing layer to its charm. It's remarkable to see how it has evolved over the years, from farming pastures to a thriving recreational hub.

Overall, our experience at Lower Leas Coastal Park was nothing short of fantastic. It's a gem along the coast that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, recreational activities, and historical significance. We can't wait to return and explore more of what this stunning park has to offer!

It is drastic to see that some people cannot just listen to nature but they need speakers, shisha, they talk and talk so loud. Just sad... technology has become an addiction.

Nice area for a stroll with plenty of views. You can look down onto the beach and have a seat along the landscaped gardens.

Why is that local council cannot see the attraction to this great piece of engineering and local history. Fingers crossed that they will realise what an asset the old lift is. Maybe encourage the developers of Shore to support it as they must have greased a few palms to build in such a prime location

Some parts of Folkestone (like many seaside towns) are a bit run down, but Folkestone has obviously had a go at regenerating the town, and it really works. We loved the quirky shops in the creative quarter. Plenty to enjoy and look at, cafe's to eat out, all leading down to the lovely seaside and amazing harbour arm. My daughter described Folkestone as like the love child of Southend-on-Sea and Brighton, and I knew what she meant!!!!!!

Terlingham Vineyard truly is a gem! We enjoyed the most beautiful natural surroundings and lucked out with absolutely perfect weather.
Jackie is so warm and friendly, as well as knowledegable. The selection of wines tasted were among the best we've ever tasted. We'll definitely be buying Terlingham wines for all our special occassions from now on!

Thank you for such a wonderful morning!

Fantastic venue, astounding sound, and the just the friendliest, warmest staff I've come across in a while. Their job-satisfaction shows in their demeanor. Marianne especially couldn't do enough to make sure everything was on point.

One of the best beaches to visit and enjoy time with family. Barbeque is allowed as well. We went with couple of families and had a fabulous time.
