Chris was a great host. Loved hearing about the brewery history. The tasting in their own little pub was brilliant, a great selection of beers and plenty of it!

Very informative. Spent time walking and feeding the Alpacas.
Amazing place, Alpacas well cared for. Didn't know what to expect with Alpacas but will now admit, beautiful, gentle and demanding characters for attention (just ask Stephen, the grumpy one).
Will definitely return to see them again. Highly recommend the experience to everyone.

Have had annual memberships for myself and grandchildren for some time. Firstly with oldest who is now 8. Now with a two and a half year old and a free at the moment 1 year old. They enjoy going to the park but it is a bit rundown in parts. You are encouraged to wash hands often after feeding/touching animals - there are outside sinks and hand dryers. At one washing station one of the hand dryers has not worked for months, at another both were out of action and a notice said to use the ones in the adjacent toilets. Went to change grandsons nappy - in the gents toilet t the appropriate wc/changing cubicle. The hand dryer there was not working and wasn't working last time we visited months ago. In the musical maze there are various large percussion instruments with attached "drumsticks" - many of which have been missing since I took my 8 year old as a three/four year old. In the soft play - the sensory light hasn't worked for ages, the pig that you feed balls to has never worked and there are few balls for the other air machine ( those that are there are seriously in need of replacement. There is a room with air canons etc - that has rarely worked properly.

You can feed the animals - get token from a machine and then fill a cup - these used to cost 50p now a £1. We used to spend around £4 (8 cups) but on the recent visit this only got us 4 cups - I refused to pay more. My grandkids love feeding the goats, sheep, lamas and donkeys - -but I had to ration the food to last the whole way round.

Kids love going on the train - we did it three times on our visit. The fort is good as is the jellybelly/trampolines/go karts etc.

It is a good , but expensive day out - season tickets are better value if you are local but very expensive as £35 for a 2 year old (under 2 free) but for 3 years on its £70, same as an adult.

All in all my grandkids love going to the farm but it needs some tlc as mentioned above - maybe the fact that the lease is coming to an end and relocation a possibility is the reason, but some of the things I have mentioned have been that way for years.

When our season tickets expire we'll have to seriously consider if we will be renewing given the cost for a three year old. I would have thought that a reduced price for all children would have been an incentive for families to purchase season tickets.

Fascinating museum about the life of an extraordinary man, one of the earliest conservationists and such an important influence on the development of USA national parks. The staff are friendly and well-informed. Well worth a visit (it's free, but please make a donation). All floors are accessible by a lift.

Victoria Harbour is overlooked by the ruins of Dunbar Castle . There are amazing views of Bass rock and on a clear day you can see the East Neuk of Fife.
The harbour has a colourful history which is mapped out in stones leading to the Battery.
One such story is about the Countess called Black Agnes. Agnes is said to have defended the harbour against English invasion with only her servants to help her. There is a restaurant with her namesake on the High Street selling good traditional food, which I highly recommend.
Recently, the harbour was battered by storm Babet, with powerful waves crashing against the harbour walls and leaping ferociously in the air. The scene was dangerous but somehow very beautiful.
The town is only 10 minutes walk away where you can find coffee shops, fish and chip shops and various restaurants.
The Creel restaurant is a 2 minute walk and worth paying a little extra for. Plus there are vans situated around the harbour selling teas, coffee, fresh fish and other food such as toasties and crepes.
The leisure centre is situated on a small hill overlooking the harbour and the swimming pool has a view to the sea. Children love the flumes and wave machine and there are small slides and equipment to keep the toddlers amused.
Outside are strategically positioned benches at the top of the hill to capture the wonderful views.
The carpark is free and Campervans and Motorhomes can park overnight and also around the harbour but there might be a small charge for that.
Toilet and shower facilities are available in the leisure centre until closing time and the cafe is open to the public.
It’s a beautiful old harbour, well worth a visit.

This is such an amazing experience and unique opportunity. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, great visitor center with models and informative displays, but the reason to go is the tour inside the facility. This experience will open your eyes to a period of history when we had the courage to build great things, and not just focus on short term quick win returns. This facility has been providing clean energy for decades to the surrounding area, and hopefully after a tour here you'll agree we should be doing more with nuclear energy in the future.

An interesting experience; fully accessible (I am disabled) and amazing views across the water from the top of the fortress. Loved the little info posters dotted everywhere.

Nice pool, pretty busy. Could do with a clean in the changing rooms and a gross smell on the way up to flume on the stairs. Needs washed maybe? Only place nearby with waves and a slide

Visited Dunbar in November, first time there and was impressed by the scenery overlooking the north sea in particular the harbour area and castle ruins.

The town itself, is approx 30 miles from Edinburgh and 30 miles from the English border. There are ample shops, free parking in the main carpark overlooking the harbour. Will come back and spend more time in this town

Recommended to visit by a local, lovely easy access beach with views of the surrounding coast line. The beach is good for a walk to ‘blow away the cobwebs’, especially in March!

Would be a nice beach on a sunny day. No cafe/ shop so bring your own.

Parking is free and easy. Toilets free.

Small museum on the High Street which opens at 1 pm in Summer and is free with a donation welcome. There are a lot of information boards about Dunbar and showing photos from the past. You can ask the assistant to put a video on which lasts for about 8 minutes showing a variety of short films taken many years ago. You can see what a uniform was like that a soldier of the past would have worn. Sometimes there is a volunteer from a local history group to take you a tour of the building to see the Council Chamber and jail cell which would have been nice but there wasn't a volunteer there.
