Visited today with 2 young children for the “Tunnel of lights” event. We chose today as the “off peak” tariff kicked in and it cost £33.50 rather than closer to £50 at “peak” times.
My honest opinion - it’s a great experience; clever self led story telling and visually effective. However, the price point is too high for what it is. The website advertises the shipwreck museum is included in the price of the entry - yet it was closed with no explanation offered, no discount applicable, and very little interest from the chap on the front counter. We’re locals and would have returned if we were offered a future discount or visit etc; double the sales in the cafe/gift shop… there’s was a little drinks bar towards the later part of the trail, they missed out on £20+ revenue due to the girl being too busy on her phone to serve us or another family.
Would I recommend? Yes but I’d think twice about where I’d like to spend my money in the local area. I’ve been before to the museum itself and worth a look, but not at the expense/service levels.
