What travellers are saying
- LynnJeanetteAbu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates4 contributionsThis exquisite Italian villa on the hillside above Menaggio has a remarkable history to learn about, a view over Lake Como to die for, and is a cultural centre for Germanic/Italian studies. Amongst other featured courses, they offer German language courses from time to time. The lovely hamlet of Loveno is a perfect location to wander around; lanes with ancient homes, parklands, fields and rivers, plus of course the parish church of Sts. Lorenzo and Agnes. All this and the lovely Villa Myllus Vigoni to discover once the Corona virus crisis is behind us. I really hope you enjoy it!Written March 18, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SteviefullKidderminster, UK1,699 contributionsThe final stop of our tour of Lake Como bought us to Menaggio and a little walk around before boarding our coach home. We stopped off in this church for a few minutes before heading off. It didn't offer anything you haven't seen a million times before in a million different churches, but that isn't a bad thing.
The understated ceilings and relatively minimal use of gaudy materials made for a subdued and welcoming building, worth five minutes of your time.Written October 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Went to loafing de piano before shooting off too Cusino to do some serious climbs via Lazario and Alpine gates.Written May 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PHE22London, UK3,928 contributionsA beautiful small church very dimly lit. Free to enter but we did donate to light a candle for a relation. Well worth dropping in.Written October 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- WisconsincheeseWesterville, OH164 contributionsWe stayed in Croce and this golf course was even farther up the mountain! We took a taxi up to the course to explore. We arrived at 6 which is way too early for dinner but a nice waiter brought us drinks and allowed us to have an early dinner although the usual dinner time is much later. Excellent food, nice views of Lake Como.
Everyone likes to talk about George Clooney having a home in the area and playing golf at this course. The Club was build by British people and has a feel of a golf club in Scotland or Ireland.Written September 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - chicago90Phoenixphoenix1,298 contributionsMennagio has a nice small waterfront to catch a ferry to other points (Varenna) and serves as a town that you can provide you with public transportation to Lugano at selected limited times of the day. The bus ride that makes the ascent up the hill (when leaving Mennagio) and descent when arriving back provides for some great pictures of the architecture and lakefront scenery. This house is definitely one of them.Written July 8, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
