We spend a lovely morning here, there is some lovely shops and a coffee shop with a view of the old harbour was perfect place to take lots of pictures - it really is as pretty as all the guide books say!

Both memorial sites are of particular interest as my Great Uncle is remebered at the Bayeux site, and he fought and lost his life in Tilly.
This museum gives a really good view of the Battle of Norandy from all the Allies perspective (British, American, Canadian), the Free French, and the German.

The roads leading up to the site are windy and narrow in places, the locals drive quite quickly so be prepared, especially if coming up the hill from the town.
