What travellers are saying
- Sharon DFort Worth, TX56 contributionsLOVED this beach!!!! Did not see anyone the whole day, which was perfect!!! Had a chair and a cushion all to myself and found it very peaceful! Loved this day so very much, will be one I come to each time I am back on the island!Written September 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aimee SOverland Park, KS67 contributionsThis cute little boutique shop is really the only one like it on the island that I found. They have very good quality T-shirts/souvenirs and beach attire. They have nice jewelry, lovely smelling candles in coconut shells, hand made soaps and art work. Very gift worthy items in my opinion. My husband collects maps from all of the places we visit and they had a nice one there. The staff was friendly, helpful and not at all over bearing. I felt the prices were very reasonable and the shirts were much nicer than the ones across the street at the straw market. (Of course I shopped there too because after all, a girl’s got to shop)! It is definitely worth stopping in.Written June 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DrElTigerHummelstown, PA87 contributionsGreat views with active blow holes make this a must stop. Pull in by the gazebo and park. A bit rough for swimming the day we went with the only white caps we saw in the Exhumas.Written February 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brooke Y1 contributionWe had an amazing time! Odyssey Picnics was the way we capped off our first ever trip to Exuma and we could not be happier with the entire experience! The tablescape was beautiful and the food and cocktails were absolutely delicious! If we get to make another trip to Exuma, we’d definitely book another experience with them!Written October 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Clemson97Lexington, SC126 contributionsWhile visiting Exuma for a week, we quickly learned food is very expensive on the island. We mixed our trip with some cooking at our AirBNb and some eating out. Exuma Markets had the widest selection of food, but be prepared to be creative with the meals you are looking to fill. Items are stocked as they get things in. Eggs are only delivered twice a week and on Sunday at 8am they were out. We tried to go when they first opened to get the best selection, but we timed it wrong by one day. We were told the boat delivered twice a week and Monday was one of those days. We found some other frozen breakfast choices so just be flexible. Most items are double or even triple the cost in the USA but keep in mind this is a small island and the food has to be barged in.Written June 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Janet G1 contributionEast way to get to Stocking Island and Chat n Chill. Meet at the 221 Wine Spirits right in the Georgetown loop to catch the taxi. Look for the middle aged man w gold chains to pay. Park across the street.Written May 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Love2travel1993Olathe, KS42 contributionsThis is one of two places we shopped for souvenirs while we were in Exuma. Actually, I think they may have been the only 2 places to shop for souvenirs in Exuma other than the tiny place across from the airport by Kermit’s.
There are ladies weaving and making products while they are also selling their wares that were interesting to watch for a bit. You can get Kalik T shirts as well as other Exuma/Bahamas shirts, sweatshirts, hats, bags, keychains, ornaments, bottle openers, magnets, license plates, shot glasses and other cups/water bottles. They have quite a bit of items but not a lot of styles to choose from. Some of them can make shirts in different colors/sizes that aren’t available and you can get them the next day. The sides of the building are open so our experience was that if it rains they may close and not reopen until the next day. I had read that they like to haggle but we did not find that to be the case. As far as prices go, I felt they were higher than other places/islands I have been to but it is Exuma and there really isn’t any other options with the selection. Across the street is Sandpiper which is a much nicer store with better quality shirts and jewelryWritten June 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lynnette HCalifornia, USA10 contributionsNice place to stop if you're looking for island decor and handmade bags and paintings. I bought a hand made bag by the famous "princess McKensie" of island fame. Her bags are not only a work of art but very sturdy and usable. The shop is out of the downtown area and easily reached by car. Plenty of space and the owner is very pleasant.Written March 5, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Christine H15 contributionsWe rented 2 boats for 9 people….very easy to navigate, dock hands explained everything thoroughly. We had full access to Elizabeth Bay. Windy day but very calm in the bay area where we were limited to. Went to sand dollar beach, starfish beach and chat and chill. Found lots of sand dollars if you dig your feet just under the sand. Starfish were amazing but took la little more effort to find. Chat and chill was very fun, good music/vibes, close and personal interaction with the rays. Amazing fresh conch salad. Had full day of roaming around bay for very reasonable price.Written December 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alicia H47 contributionsHaving Dunnia come teach a yoga class at our airbnb was such a treat- I wish we had done it every morning!
She communicated quickly and clearly with us as we planned the yoga class for our girls weekend. I felt the price was very reasonable for a group of 8 ladies esp since yoga mats were provided too. Dunnia arrived on time (early actually) and taught a wonderful yoga class poolside. Her instructions were clear, the pace was perfect, and I felt the skill level was moderate but not overwhelming. 100% recommend!!!Written January 29, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Cool vibe, good music and Bahamas beach food. Beautiful water beach, and generally happy fun people hanging out. Not rowdy at all, just family funWritten January 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
